"I CAN'T BELIEVE HES WITH MADELYN NOW" cassie ranted to blair and aubrey. "he probably liked her all along" she rolled her eyes.
"well men suck guys, and we just have to deal with it" aubrey told the girls. "exactly, couldn't have said it better myself" cassie widened her eyes taking a sip of her martini.
"you shouldn't let a man determine if your sober or not cass" blair eyed the girl, "nate is not the reason i'm not sober anymore blair" cassie said and her best friends shared a look.
"well damn him to hell!" blair stood up and yelled. "okay why do i get the feeling that wasn't meant for cassie" aubrey raised a brow. "chucks at columbia" blair groaned, knowing she can't hide this from her friends. "hes bringing the battle to campus" cassie gasped. "he sure is, but i have a battle plan, i found out that martha chamberlin takes a student assistant for her lectures, and that spot is mine" blair stated.
"thats the spirit b! and ooh speaking of lectures we don't wanna miss ours blair, we should go" aubrey started but was interrupted by cassie's phone. "who is it?" blair asked and cassie checked.
"gossip girl posted that serena has an std" cassie laughed. "your lying! give me!" aubrey snatched the phone with blair leaning over her shoulder. "yikes poor s" blair giggled.
afterwards cassidy was really bored so she headed over to the columbia campus to grab some coffee.
"hey can i get an expresso and can you put a little of this in there?" she winked at the worker, handing him a flask of vodka. "for a pretty girl like you of course i will" he smiled. "do you go here? i don't think i've seen you around" he questioned.
"all my friends go here, i'm a-" "popstar, i know, your amazing" he said and she laughed. "thank you, you seem so familiar, i just can't remember probably cause i've been drinking" the two laughed at cassie's comment.
"what are you up to tonight pretty?" he asked. "i have some party my friend needs me to be at" she chuckled. "nice, heres your coffee" he handed her the cup. "thanks, i'm cassidy"
"i'm james"
as cassie left the coffee shop she was approached by none other than nate archibald. "may i help you?" she asked and he sighed. "cassidy, i'm sorry" he said. "for?" she stated. "everything"
"its fine" she walked off but he followed. "no its not cass, i know you" he turned her back around. "its not fine! nate all i've had was bad relationships then you came around, i actually had something real for once and it ended in betrayal, and you told me that she wasn't a problem but you probably liked her this whole time!" cassie yelled.
"okay okay! listen, i swear to you, i did not like madelyn at all until a bit after we broke up. during the summer she comforted me and we just grew close" he calmly told the girl. "do you love her?" cassie asked sympathetically. "yeah i like her a lot" nate said.
"then i'm happy for you" cassie gave him a soft smile before leaving.
that night cassie entered the party to find serena, vanessa, juliet, dan,aubrey, ryan, madelyn, nate and blair arguing.
"whats going on?" cassie asked the group. "vanessa stole my phone and sent an email to my professor" serena stated, "what thats crazy" dan defended his girlfriend. "its vanessa!" blair raised her voice.
"she thinks we slept together" serena looked over at the humphrey, "wait you were the one behind the gossip girl rumor!"
"i know how this looks but i did not send out that email or the rumor. juliet and madelyn did, they wanted to steal your phone." vanessa argued. "what? are you kidding me! there's no way were getting dragged into this." juliet said. "exactly, stop creating lies vanessa! look serena, i wasn't gonna say anything but vanessa came up to us and asked for our help to get revenge but we told her no" madelyn put an arm around her best friend.
"thats a lie!" vanessa retaliated, "no its not, madelyn told me before the party, she was hoping to talk to vanessa to calm her down but it didn't work" nate said.
"is that why you were so happy to leave earlier?" dan asked, "yeah with my phone, the evidence, so i would get expelled" serena said before walking away and blair followed.
"aubrey, dan, after everything we've been through i'm asking you to please believe me" vanessa pleaded. "i'm sorry vanessa but i don't know if i can" aubrey said, looking betrayed. "come on cassie, lets go check on serena" aubrey pulled the girl's hand and they walked away.
