8 |the gang is what i trust

                                                                  SEASON 1 EPISODE TWELVE

      CASSIE stood by the pool smiling at how happy her best friend is, she could easily tell aubrey and ryan were made for each other. then her eyes shifted to nate and blair sucking each others faces in the pool, something about that just made the girls blood boil. the two finally pulled away, "hey cassie, get me a refill?" nate waved his cup in the air, "go back to being a manwhore archibald, hi b" cassie rolled her eyes and walked away.

"cassie" the blonde turned around "calvin?" the two hugged, then leaned in for a kiss. "what are you doing here?" cassie asked, "i heard about the party on gossip girl, hurts to know i wasn't invited cass" the blonde boy laughed, "i'm sorry, we only wanted it to be a small gathering but that backfired.." cassie gave her beau a small peck on the lips, then walked over to serena. 

"sick party cass!" serena yelled, "calm down rena" the blonde looked around to see if anyone heard. the two talked for a while until a thud was heard. the blonde girls looked at the pool only to see a boy face first with blood coming out of his head. "oh my god" cassie put her hands over her mouth. "we need an ambulance" serena and cassie ran over to the table. the vanderwoodsen called an ambulance, while the gilmore was trying to look for something, "fuck" the girl muttered under her breath. 

the next morning, cassie, nate, blair, chuck, serena, aubrey, ryan & dan, along with the rest of their class, were gathered in the assembly room waiting for their headmistress to speak, "she definitely knows" serena whispered to blair and cassie, "no shit serena" bass interrupted, "do they even know who broke in?" cassie asked, "i hope not" nate leaned into the groups conversation. "who even broke in anyway?" dan but in, the group went silent.

"good morning class" the headmistress spoke. mrs.queller introduced herself, and told everybody andrew the guy who fell into the pool last night would be okay, she was explaining the repercussions of last nights actions. "and since no one will say who broke in, i will be doing one on one interviews." the headmistress said. jaws dropped, and yelling immediately started. "no questions asked" the lady left the room.

the whole group decided to meet at the met steps after the meeting. "what do we do guys?" blair asked in a state of worry, "i say we shoot them all dead" cassie mimicked a shooter, "no cassie" nate said. "listen guys, no one talks, no one gets into trouble" chuck pitched. the rest nodded and the group split up. 

"i wonder who did break in anyway" ryan told his twin sister, "yeah i wonder" cassie muttered. "babe, cass, tonight meeting at blair's to write our papers so we get our stories straight." aubrey wrapped her hands around ryan's neck. trying to avoid them, cassie walked away in pure disgust.

cassie walked into the waldorf's trying to find her best friend's blair and serena. "blair!" cassie yelled out to the brunette who was talking to vanessa, "i have to talk to you" cassie pulled blair away. "whats up cass?" blair asked, "what if someone finds out" cassie was pacing back and forth at this point, "did you hide the key?" cassie panicked, "yes i did don't worry" blair hugged the blonde. "no one is gonna suspect you cassie, your the upper east side princess, everyone loves you" blair said. cassie saw nate walk past, and looked down. "does aubrey know anything about this?" blair asked, "she came with dan and vanessa, it kills me to hide this from her" cassie pushed her hair back, "that vanessa is taking everything from us" blair rolled her eyes, "b stop it" cassie laid her head on the girls shoulder, and aubrey and vanessa walked in their direction.

"hey guys, so i'm here to ask you on your theories about last night" vanessa waved her camera in blair's face, "v, i can get you a completely different view for your movie" cassie smirked flirtatiously and removed her jacket. aubrey and vanessa started laughing. "i should go, bye cass, bye aubs" blair walked off. "i should go too, bye guys" vanessa walked away too. "she's amazing, isn't she?" aubrey sat down next to her best friend. "yep.." cassie mumbled, "okay, whats up?" aubrey questioned, "nothing aubrey" cassie left the apartment.

"so cassidy, i understand you are truly loved by all of the upper east side, i mean you should be, you have excellent grades, and are on track to be a lawyer by the time you finish university at nyu." queller walked around the room, "i really am amazing miss!" cassie smiled. "yes you are cassidy, but it would be a shame for something like this to ruin it." "so, onto the main question, do you know anything about who broke into the pool?" "i wish i did miss, but i do know who ever did do it, can do me at any time, because that party was lit" cassie smiled at the headmistress and left the room.

"gilmore, i need to talk to you" nate pulled the girl outside. "you need to tell me whats going on" nate crossed his arms, "i know you and blair were the ones who had the key and broke into the party" nate looked around to see if anyone was looking, "blair had nothing to do with this, she was only helping covering me." cassie whispered, "how did you get the key, cassidy?" nate asked, "when me and dylan were dating, at the end of freshman year he gave me the pool key, to yknow meet up, and other stuff" cassie muttered the ending part, "when i used the key, i thought it was just gonna be me, serena, aubrey, and blair, i didn't know it was gonna end like this" cassie said. "alright i gotta go, bye cassie" nate started to walk away, "nate, please don't tell anyone about this" cassie's voice cracked, "i would never do that to you" nate looked at her.

its been a few days and the whole class is back in the assembly room because queller has an announcement to make. "so somebody finally fessed up" queller announced. everybody was shocked, and whispering started, "its such a shame they weren't telling the truth though, and i really hate liars" "so nathaniel archibald, is suspended for a day, effective immediately" cassie's jaw dropped and she looked over to the boy who had his head in his hands.

"nate archibald!" cassie yelled over to the boy, "why the hell would you do that?" cassie screamed, "for" nate tried to get a word in, "i'm not done" cassie rolled her eyes, "this is going to go on your record, you do know that right?" "i did that for you cassie." "why?" cassie questioned, "because that party helped fix my relationship with blair, so thank you" nate smiled at her. that answer from nate made cassie feel a certain way, she wasn't happy about it but doesn't know why. "no thank you nate" cassie walked away, she knew what had to be done.

"headmistress queller" cassie barged into her office, "yes cassidy?" the old woman turned around. " i did it, i broke into the pool, and i forced nate to lie for me, please don't suspend him" cassie broke down sobbing, "i even have the key to prove it, so don't suspend him, suspend me" the blonde yelled, "why are you owning up now?" queller asked, "i don't know" cassie cried even more.
