SUMMER HAS FINALLY CAME TO A CLOSE. usually cassie's summers are wild and fun but this summer cassie did not feel like celebrating.
chuck had managed to get her out of her drinking habit so the only time she drank was one weekend with blair.
nothing major had happened to the blonde other than adding black streaks into her hair, and changing her style a bit.
she had been staying in her mothers empty house for the past 2 months because she wanted to let charlotte grieve on her own.
the blonde sat on the couch watching her comfort movie, 10 things i hate about you, but she didn't have her comfort person to watch it with.
the girl heard the door ring, and got up to get it. "cassie!" jenny exclaimed, "jenny eric, hey!!" she hugged both of the teens, "hey cass, how are you?" eric asked. "doing good, how was the hamptons?"
"it was amazing, princess treatment" jenny sat down on the couch with cassie and eric. "you changed your hair!" the now long haired blonde gasped.
"yeah i needed a change, new school year new me!" cassie smiled, "are you excited for nyu?" eric asked. "i actually am gonna defer a year" cassie breathed.
"what why?" jenny asked, "i'm mentally not ready to go yet" cassie looked down. "because of sydney?" eric asked politely, which made jenny go quite aswell. "i don't wanna go to school without her" jenny pressed her lips together. "i know me too, but it's what she would have wanted" eric put an arm on her shoulder.
the next day, cassie decided to go meet up with blair and serena to hang out after serena's trip.
"blair what?! i leave for two months and you turn from jane austin to anias lin, is there anything chuckle bass can't get you to do" serena exclaimed.
"it was my idea!" blair retaliated. "we had our honeymoon period and it was perfect, now while other couples settle we keep it interesting" she smiled.
"blair! this isn't normal! the honeymoon period is supposed to end, that's when you settle down, the two month milestone" cassie frowned at the girls decision. "no settling down means death, less sex, more silence. it works for us!" she frowned.
"it doesn't mean less sex! and you guys are too young to die, this isn't the titanic" cassie rolled her eyes. "only for you it wasn't less sex cassie, ahem nate archibald, my couch" blair rolled her eyes. "that's long gone blair trust me, he probably has someone else by now" cassie said.
"and your okay with that?" serena asked, "why wouldn't i be? we're not together anymore" cassie stated. "he was your boyfriend for a year and this is his first partner after you, it doesn't effect you?!" blair questioned.
"nope" cassie smiled. soon paparazzi came and started taking pictures of serena. "sorry guys, i don't know why they are taking pictures." serena blurted. "oh please s, we know what you did and who" cassie glared at her with laughter in her eyes, "cristiano ronaldo really?" blair asked. "the only reason i hate you is because you didn't share." cassie remarked.
the next day cassie ultimately decided she wanted to get out of the house and put on a simple black dress.
she headed into the vanderbilt polo match.
"cass, carter is here!" blair ran up to the girl. dan had told the vanderwoodsen girl's best friends that carter was stalking her and the 3 made a plan to get him away from her.
"baizen!" cassie called out after the man with blair and dan following. "gilmore, waldorf, can't say it's good to see you" carter said. "you can't" cassie glared, "not after what i'm about to tell you" blair said, "this invite you got to come to this party wasn't exactly what you thought" she said.
"spare me, where's serena?" he asked. a man approached the group and handed a paper to carter. "what the hell is this?" he asked, "a restraining order" dan answered. "this says i have to stay away from blair waldorf" he said trying to act smart.
"yeah and until further notice you will find me at serena's side" the waldorf stated. "step within a hundred feet of her and you will be arrested, dan don't you think he's a little close?" cassie asked. "yeah, security?"
"what's going on?" serena asked in concern. "your friends are trying to have me removed" carter said. serena looked over at dan and then spoke, "yeah because your stalking me" she said.
"you wanna tell them the truth or should i?" he asked and everyone's faces dropped. "what's the truth carter? serena asked. "sooner or later you will be alone with no one taking your picture what will you do then?" he remarked. "what's he talking about s?" cassie asked in disbelief.
the guy came and told serena that the game was gonna start. "serena?" blair asked. "i got to go!" she left.
as the girl left, cassie groaned, "unbelievable"
"maybe carter can explain it" the group turned around to find that carter had left.
they all looked at the field to see serena running away on a horse, with carter following from a far. "oh damn" cassie raised a brow.
