"i-i need to get this dress off"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

TODAY WAS THE DAY. cassie was supposed to get married today to her horrible fiancée.

she and josie had a plan. she was supposed to go through with the ceremony, and leave him right after the reception before they signed the papers.

she was in her wedding dress and just stared at the mirror. she was given a last minute one since anastasia decided she didn't want cassie wearing her dress, so she just wore a simple white dress with a short trail.

her bridesmaids were three models she didn't know and serena, and they were in the other room getting ready.

cassie had been struggling to keep it together the entire day but had to cover it up. she was just staring at herself in the mirror when she heard a knock at the door. "come in" she croaked, as nate and ryan came inside.

"hello soon-to-be mrs.westwood" ryan smiled as cassie could feel a sense of disgust hearing that name, "don't ever call me that ever again" she laughed softly as she looked over at nate. "you look beautiful cassie" he said and cassie smiled, "thank you"

"i'm gonna go check with serena if were ready to start" ryan said before heading out. "so you bring a date today?" cassie asked, and nate shook his head. "nope, things didn't work out, and the girl i want isn't available" he looked at her, "that sucks, i'm sorry" she frowned a tiny bit. "its okay" he said, taking a breath.

the tears that were in the girls eyes had started to come out and she wasn't happy. blair and ryan had also came in to see the girl but they could all see she was struggling. "cassie?" nate put his hand on her shoulder. "c" blair called out, "cass, whats going on?" ryan asked.

"just nerves, i'm fine" she stammered. "no your-" blair started. "i'm fine, just leave" cassie turned to the group and they headed out.

a few minutes later charlotte moore came inside. "cassie?" the woman called out and cassie turned around. "your supposed to head out in a couple minutes, want me to do your touch-up?" she asked and cassie went and sat down on the stool.

"you look beautiful" charlotte said while re-doing cassie's eye makeup, "thanks" cassie said softly. "you know cassie. if your unsure of this whole wedding thing or don't want to, don't do it. don't get yourself stuck in something you won't be happy in. i'll even drive the getaway car" charlotte winked at the girl. "thank you lottie" cassie pulled the woman into a tight hug.

"i've never really had a mom in my life until you came along. your the best thing thats ever happened to our family" cassie smiled at the woman as charlotte wiped her own tears. "okay come on let's go before i start to cry even more" she said as she and cassie got up to walk down the steps.

charlotte walked cassie downstairs to meet her father who was waiting for her. "oh wow, honey you look amazing" he said as he hugged his daughter. "thanks dad" cassie smiled. "you ready?" he asked as she put her arm in his, "yep" she breathed anxiously as she put her microphone on her dress.

as she walked down the isle she saw nate and chuck smiling at her with blair, louis and charlie behind them. nearby them were ryan, asher and aubrey whom cassie hadn't spoken to since their fight since she couldn't bare that she was right.

she saw photographers and videographers at every single angle taking pictures of her. cassie also saw serena and models who she didn't even know the names of also smiling at her, aurora and james had just avoided eye contact.

once the priest had spoken about love and marriage, it was now time for cassie and james to say their vows. cassie hadn't even looked at james, she just couldn't. she was just zoned out until the priest spoke to her.

"cassidy, you can say your vows" the priest said and cassie was about to speak about everything she felt for james before she found out the truth. she had to lie to everyone and herself. but someone interrupted.

cassie was staring at the floor before she heard someone's voice, "don't marry him cass" nate stood up and walked a bit forward.

"you know why? because i love you. i always have and always will. i love everything about you, i love you when your sad, when your happy, when your mad, i just love you. i want you with me." nate told the girl.

cassie was in shock. she knew she didn't love james anymore, and was actually starting to realize that nate was the one for her.

she turned back to the priest and james with tears in her eyes as nate waited in the middle of the isle. "i-i need to say my vows" she stammered, as she looked at james who was pissed.

"james, i loved you. i really did. i have a really hard time with relationships and when i decided to open my heart to you, i knew i made the wrong decision" she sniffled as everyone gasped. "i really did care about you but our whole relationship was a lie, since you were seeing aurora behind my back and were only using me for fame and the album. so were over, heres your ring" she smacked the engagement ring into james's hand and ran off to nate and grabbed him and ran.

"i know an exit where paparazzi won't be, come on" he led her to the back door, and they entered his car.

the car ride was silent since cassie was processing her engagement was over and it was a lie, and nate was trying to read her emotions.

the second they entered chuck and nate's penthouse cassie headed in. "you want a glass of water or anything?" nate asked the blonde who was very disoriented. "i-i need to get this dress off" she dug her hands in trying to rip the dress. "hey, hey, hey, its okay, its okay" he pulled the girl close.

"give me 2 minutes, i'll set up a hot shower and some clothes" he said before leaving.

cassie exited the bathroom after her shower and saw nate sitting on the couch. she took a seat next to him and looked over at him. "thanks for today" she said softly. "of course anytime, you didn't deserve him, never did" nate replied, and she gave him a soft smile.

"about what you said today" cassie started, "i meant it" nate told the girl and her eyes widened. "i love you cassie, i've never stopped" he smiled at the girl.

"i love you too nate" cassie leaned onto his chest. "look at this" he pulled a small box out of his pocket and flicked it open, revealing a gorgeous ring. cassie gasped.

"on the day of saints and sinners, when we were supposed to meet but madelyn and juliet interfered, i was gonna ask you to marry me" he looked at the girl who's eyes were glued to the box.

"oh my god" she whispered. he wrapped an arm around her shoulder and struggled to speak. "are you asking what i think you are?" cassie said with happy tears in her eyes, and nate was tearing up too as he nodded.

"cassidy clara jane davis-gilmore, somehow you have become my favorite person in the entire world, and i want to spend the rest of my life with you. so will you marry me?" he sniffled as she cried while nodding. "yes" she wrapped her arms around nate's neck.

"chuck's probably gonna be gone for the rest of the night, so i'll make dinner, pasta okay?" he placed a kiss on her lips before getting up.
