TODAY'S THE DAY BLAIR WALDORF IS SUPOSSED TO MARRY PRINCE LOUIS.
cassie ran the straightening blowout brush through her blonde curls and got her makeup done while she waited for nate to bring her dress.
"i got your dress cass! aubrey had it" nate said as he came into the bedroom. cassie turned around to see the dress but gasped in horror. "what is that?!" cassie stated as she walked towards the baby pink, knee length, one shoulder dress that was in front of her.
"oh come on cass its not that bad" nate laughed, "your right its terrible, where did they get this from? a thrift store?" cassie asked, "i am not wearing this" the blonde stated. "cassie you have to! its blair's wedding" nate said.
"she can have another one it'll be fine" cassie took a sip of the coffee beside her. "just try it on" nate passed her the dress and tights and she walked into the bathroom to change.
"you look ridiculous" nate chuckled as cassie walked out of the washroom, "stop laughing!" she laughed. "the sizing is the only thing accurate about this dress, one thing royals can do right" cassie whispered the last part.
"okay enough whining we need to go" nate grabbed the girls hand and they headed to the chapel.
cassie was in charge of telling blair when its time for the wedding to start. so the blonde knocked on the door of blair's suite and came in.
"oh b, you look so gorgeous" cassie awed as she leaned on the door. "thanks cass, you also look-" blair started, "please don't finish your sentence" cassie laughed. "are you ready to get married?" cassie asked as the brunette dazed.
"chuck came in" she blurted out, "what?" cassie asked. "he told me a bunch of stuff and i told him things too" she ranted. "blair, are you sure you want to go through with this?" cassie stepped closer, "if you wanna run i'll lead the way, i've had experience" cassie told the girl. "no no i am staying with louis, i'll grow into loving him, i know he won't hurt me" blair said quietly.
"he won't have to, your hurting yourself enough by doing this" cassie stated. "i'm sure of my choice cassie" blair told the girl, avoiding eye contact. "are you sure?" cassie asked, and the brunette nodded. "then let's go get you married" cassie led the way.
the ceremony was going well until a gossip girl blast interrupted. cassie looked over at serena and aubrey in confusion and they shared the similar expression.
"of course i love you, chuck. i've always loved you. i love you more and more every day if its possible to love someone that much" the audio of blair played through out the church. cassie let out a quite gasp as blair stepped down the steps and ran out. "and you jinxed her" aubrey whispered into her best friends ear. "shut up" cassie whispered back with a small laugh.
after blair had ran away, cassie, serena, nate and dan all went up to georgina who had showed up.
"oh! you caught me. i'm so scared" georgina said with no enthusiasm in her voice. "what'd you do this time?" cassie asked. "i didn't do anything" georgina said, "oh, so your an innocent bystander then right?" serena asked, "i never said i was innocent, i just like to watch." georgina paused, "and while i love our annual showdowns more than anyone, i'm not the person to blame for what just happened" she said.
"come on georgina" serena rolled her eyes, "sure i made the video but i didn't send it in. i left my camera with chuck thinking he'd show the prince, and they'd have a duel at dawn for what's left of blair's virtue" the raven haired girl said.
"chuck was in the back of the church, if he wanted to say something he would've. its not like him to hide behind gossip girl" dan agreed, "your right its not. maybe you should ask yourselves which one of you had the most to gain from sending that video in"
"i know from experience it's never who you'd think so that rules out chuck" the sparks looked over at nate, "maybe it was you wanting to help his best friend get his girl back" her eyes shifted to cassie, "or it might have been you, making sure your best friend doesn't marry the wrong guy" next she looked at serena, "or maybe it was you, wanting to make sure your best friend didn't make a huge mistake" finally she looked at dan and smirked. "or better still, how about you? sending that video would ruin both the wedding and chuck in blair's eyes, which is exactly what you want, since anyone with a pulse can see your madly in love with her. oh well except for you" she looked at serena.
"but whoever it was, wedding's over now! see you at the next shin dig! tata!" she smiled before walking off. before anyone could react cassie, serena and dan were called to return back to the wedding so it can continue.
at the wedding reception cassie and ryan were just at the bar. "so how do you feel cassie?" the older twin asked his sister while taking a sip of his wine, "happy i got out of that dress and left out that your drinking in front of me" she replied. "no i mean that you jinxed your best friends wedding" he laughed as she hit his arm. "no i did not! and anyway it worked out in the end, even with chuck's gesture" cassie stated.
"you know maybe if you ever did that for anyone, you wouldn't be at this wedding alone" cassie laughed, as she saw her brother looking at a pretty, blonde waitress. "excuse me for a second" he winked before walking off.
cassie watched her brother walk up to the waitress but heard a voice come closer to her. "oh not another one" nate joked as he walked closer to her. "i know right" she smiled as she laid her head onto his chest. "you seriously changed?" he asked, "yes that dress was terrible" cassie said as he laughed. "well i think this one looks much nicer" he complimented, "thank you" she laughed.
"you know, at our wedding i'm going to make sure georgina sparks will not be allowed inside" she stated as nate played with her hair, "agreed" he smiled.
"ready to head home?" nate asked, "not without one last dance" she smirked as she pulled him onto the floor.
