15 | love really is confusing

                                                             SEASON 1 EPISODE 18

cassie sat at her living room table finishing up sewing her dress for lily's wedding. the girl actually loved fashion designing as a hobby and when she was younger she really wanted to be next elenore waldorf, but her mother really wanted her to be a lawyer. when ever the girl was free she would always be doodling outfits in her notebook or fiddling around with her sewing machine. now that the SATS were done she had enough time to make her own fancy dress. 

the blonde was sitting at the table putting on the finishing touches for her dress and drinking the surprisingly delicious strawberry smoothie sydney made her. the girl spit out her drink when she heard a very familiar agitating voice.  "hello there gilmore girl" nate said walking over to the girl, "smoothie yum" he took a sip of it, "oh this is good"  "choke on it" the girl said, although keep in mind, she doesn't really want him to choke on it. "cassie? did you make that dress?" nate said pointing to the royal blue, v neckline, laced up back, mermaid styled, dress, cassie put on the hanger to let it heat up. "yeah actually, for lil's wedding" cassie said proudly.  "your talented cassidy" nate walked over to dress, which made cassie blush hard. "thanks" the girl laughed, "blair's mom is doing an internship, you should apply" nate said looking at the girl, "you really mean that?" cassie questioned, "yes i do" nate reassured her.

cassie and sydney got out of the car at the wedding. "look at us syd, look at how far we came" cassie said putting an arm around her sister. "i'm happy we met cass" sydney hugged her sister, "go get your man" sydney said before walking off to hang out with eric. 

cassie made her way to nate, ryan and aubrey. "were gonna let you two talk" nate said pulling ryan away. "i'm sorry" both the girls say at the same time, they laughed and hugged. "i'm so sorry cassie, i should have never mentioned dylan, and called you jealous" aubrey said laying her head on the blonde's shoulder. "i'm sorry for not telling you about nate, and for calling you a fame-loving whore" cassie apologized, "wait when did you call me a fame-loving whore?" aubrey laughed, "to sydney on our way here" cassie pulled away from the hug. 

"did you make this dress cassidy davis gilmore?" aubrey gasped, "yes i did aubrey collins!" cassie responded proudly! 

the group made their way into the wedding hall. cassie got compliments from everyone on her dress. "i'm gonna go talk to lily quickly, save my spot" cassie told her sister. 

cassie walked into lily's dressing room only to find the woman slumped on the couch. "lily your getting married in 15 minutes-" cassie paused, "whats wrong?"  "my dress ripped on the bottom, i don't know what to do!" lily screamed, "calm down, deep breaths lils, i have a solution" cassie reached into her purse to find a spare sewing pin and sewed it into the tear. "oh thank you cassie!" she hugged the girl.

"congratulations lily, but i'm personally team rufus" cassie said cheerfully as she pulled away, "and i'm team nate, go get him girl" lily whispered in the girls ear.

the wedding ceremony went amazing although cassie wished it was rufus with lily and not bart, but she can't always get her way. at the reception, the gilmore family were sat with the collins because their families were always close but, anne and thomas collins did not like monica davis AT ALL, they did love andrew & his new girlfriend charlotte moore. the two recently started dating after cassie's accident, and now were completely in love, and back home in manhattan for good.

cassie sat down at her wedding table feeling completely alone, her brother and best friend were out dancing, serena and dan were gone, blair and chuck were being blair and chuck, sydney and eric were somewhere, so cassie was bored as hell. times like these cassie really wished she had a boyfriend, but the only person she could think of right now was nate. 

a bit later, the newly married lily vanderwoodsen came onto the mic talking about how important it is to have someone you love by your side. cassie didn't really care much about her speech because the love department did not like cassie right now. but there was a certain sentence that really made cassie think, "if you love someone, tell them, before you lose them completely" lily spoke looking directly at cassidy. the blonde knew exactly what she needed to do, she stood looking for nate but couldn't find him, "i'm gonna grab some air" cassie told her dad and charlie. 

cassidy ran outside looking for nate only to see him punching his father. cassie knew he probably didn't want to deal with her bullshit feelings for him so she decided to go comfort him instead. "hey, you okay?" cassie said poking her head down the stairs where nate was standing, "not really" the boy responded, "wanna talk about it?" cassie asked, "its a long story" "i've got time" cassie said walking down the stairs. 

the two spent a lot of time talking and opening up together. nate told her all about his dad dealing drugs, and cassie opened up about her abuse from dylan, and how her mother makes her feel so unlovable. the more cassie talked to him the more she fell in love, she loved how much of a good listener he was, how he would constantly reassure her that shes enough, and his perfect smile of course (its nate archibald, hes perfect).  "we should head in" cassie said getting up, "cassie don't leave us like this" nate stopped her and  cassie turned around

 "cassie, i love you. i'm completely in love with you. the things i don't like about you, i love. i love your smile, your laugh. I love how much you care for people and just being with you makes me feel like home. your the whole reason I believe in soulmates. its not blair, jenny, or serena that i love, its you, its always been you, and its always going to be you. i love you, always and forever." nate was prepared to keep on going but cassie stopped him by pulling his tie, and kissing him. 

she put her hands around his neck and his were on her waist. after a minute the two pulled away and nate leaned his forehead against hers, "so will you be my girlfriend?" nate asked, "what the hell did you think the kiss was for?" cassie responded with a smile.

days after the wedding cassie was sitting on her bed on the phone with her best friend. "so greece with my brother, huh?" cassie asked, "yep, he said he has a suprise for me" aubrey smiled, "what are you and nate gonna be up too?"  "i don't know but i don't care as long as its with nate" cassie responded happily, "aww, well i should go now ryan's coming to pick me up soon, love you cass" aubrey said, "aubrey", "yes cass?" aubrey responded, "use protection please" cassie begged. "bye cassidy" aubrey hung up.

"hey, how's my favorite twins doing?" nate asked knocking at the door, "hey" cassie said giving her now boyfriend a kiss on his cheek, "hi there, my gilmore girl, ready to go for ice cream?" nate asked, "i am lemme grab my shoes" cassie said lovingly. "you two make me sick" ryan rolled his eyes, "shut up, have fun in greece" cassie said shutting the door. 

"greece?" nate asked putting his arm around the girl, "ill explain later" cassie said putting her head on his shoulder. 

"i love you cassidy davis gilmore"
