5 | unexpected friendship?

                                                                         SEASON 1 EPISODE 8

"syd, blair's party is tonight, you wanna come with?" cassie plopped down on the couch next to her sister, "i would, but" "we have plans tonight, sorry chloe, but tell blair we said happy birthday" monica gave her youngest daughter a kiss on the head and a hug. "its cassie mum" cassie tried to hide her disappointment her mother can't even remember her name or at least give her a hug.

"what are you guys doing tonight?" the older daughter asked her mum, "mum's taking me shopping!" sydney squealed. "she's amazing" sydney mouthed to her sister and cassie nodded. "can i come with you guys?" cassie asked. "umm your gonna be really bored cathrine" monica said trying to make clear that she didn't want cass there.  "ok then" cassie said walking into her brothers room. 

cassie looked at all the flowers and chocolate on her brothers bed. "whos this all for?" cassidy asked. "i'm gonna ask aubrey to be my girlfriend tonight at blair's party" ryan told his sister proudly. "omg i'm so happy for you!" cassie hugged her brother, "hope it all goes well" cassie walked out of the room to head to b's party.

the blonde finally arrived at the party. she saw nate and jenny sitting on the stairs and decides to confront them about their kiss. "j, archibald, hey!" the girl yelled out, "cassie hi!" jenny gave cass a huge hug. "so um, at the ball, i saw the two of you kiss, whats up with that?" cassie asked, "um that was just a mistake" jenny told the blonde, "i thought she was serena, and blair and i broke up" nate chimed in, "oh and were sort of back together" nate questioned himself. "wow, that's really something archibald" cassie laughed, "nate, how are your parents, i heard about the drugs ?" 

"my dad is practically refusing help, and mom doesn't even care, all my mom cares about is her image." nate told the girls, "that really sucks nate, my family is pretty bad too, you see my mom was cheating my dad with some guy in Hudson and now she's back, it's so complicated" jenny ranted, "wow" cassie was shocked, she always thought the humphrey's were perfect. "how is sydney adjusting cassie?" nate asked. "she just got here, and suddenly my mom loves her more then she ever loved me" the gilmore girl sighed " why can't me and my mom be like lorelai and rory" 

the three sat in silence until jenny announced she had to go solve things with her parents, so it was just cassie and nate for the next while. the two talked for hours, and shocked how similar their lives were. "i can't belive raubrey is finally gonna happen tonight" nate exclaimed, "never expected that to happen" the two laughed. cassie's phone pinged, "whos that?" nate asked. 

"just my stalker" cassie read out the message, "new boyfriend cassie? i thought you and calvin were lovely together" she read, "what the hell cass, this is insane" nate was concerned. "eh its probably just a joke" cassie turned off her phone. "its almost midnight are you gonna wish blair?" cassie asked, "i don't know, are you?" "i met up with her before the party got full, and her and i are going to dinner tomorrow." cassie smiled. suddenly calvin walked up to cassie and nate. 

"hey calvin!" cassie smiled at him, "cassie, hi!" calvin hugged her. "we should get together sometime" the blonde guy told the girl, "definitely, oh calvin, this is my friend nate archibald!" cassidy introduced the two, "whats up man?" nate gave the guy a handshake, "nice to meet you" calvin smiled.

soon after calvin left and cassie and nate got back to talking. "calvin reminds me of dylan" nate told the girl, "i don't have a good feeling about him cass." "he does not remind me of dylan, your crazy" cassie laughed in the brunettes face.  "oh, its almost one am, i should get home" cassie grabbed her stuff, "cass, look" nate pointed to ryan and aubrey who were holding hands and laughing. "aww" cassie was so happy for her best friend, " i hope i find love like theirs someday", "you definitely will cassidy" nate stood up. 

"i don't hate you much anymore archibald" 

"neither do i gilmore girl"

cassie was walking home when she got a gossip girl blast. it was a picture of her and nate, but luckily her face wasn't shown. 

"whos the blonde slut this time nate? it sure can't be serena."

"oh god, i'm the slut."
