"ME and ryan were thinking of getting a dog" aubrey told her best friend, "you should definitely name it nate" cassie remarked.
aubrey and cassie were walking to school together to get cassie's mind off of her breakup with nate.
"oh god" aubrey pushed her friend over, "i'm gonna grab us both coffee's wait here c"
cassie waited outside for her best friend when she saw nate approach her. "h""?ey" he smiled leaning onto the door she was standing next to. "hi" cassie replied avoiding eye contact and attempting to walk away.
"woah woah, cassie wait up!" he ran after her. "i don't get you cassidy! you tell me to break it off with cathrine, then crash the party and do a complete 180 on me and tell me to stay with her?!" nate yelled at the girl who was still avoiding to look at him. "i'm sorry but its for the best" cassie said with tears prickling in eyes.
she walked away from him after saying that but nate followed. "wait so were actually over?" nate asked, "yeah" cassie miffed and walked off.
aubrey walked out of the coffee shop to see no cassie and nate standing there with a frown on his face.
"oh my god where did she go?" aubrey muttered. she looked to see nate archibald standing in front of her and connected all the dots. "archibald, i don't know what the hell happened between you two" aubrey turned to look at him. "but i do know that she loves you so much and is heartbroken over you, so you better fix what ever the hell you did to my best friend" aubrey finished.
she finished by pouring her iced coffee on nates hair. "your lucky it was cold" she smiled and then walked to school alone.
cassie approached the met steps with slightly teary eyes, but of course cathrine just had to follow her. "cassie" the woman said from behind. the blonde rolled her eyes and turned around to face the old woman. "its cassidy to you" she spoke. "sorry cassidy, i just wanted to say thank you for following our agreement this time" cathrine smiled at the non-cheery girl. "well thank you to ruining mine and nates relationship" cassie snapped. "your welcome, and i wanted to hand you this" cathrine pulled out a five thousand dollar check from her pocket and handed it over.
"i don't need this, my father's a surgeon and my moms a lawyer. i'm rich, i don't want your dirty mistress money" cassie gagged ripping up the check, and walking away.
at lunch cassie stood with blair and serena listening to blair talk about marcus. aubrey showed up so the four walked over to their usual table arm in arm.
"hey you okay?" aubrey whispered into cassie's ear. "yeah i'm fine, sorry i left you" cassie whispered back.
"the point is who ever dates first wins" blair told the heartbroken vanderwoodsen girl. "yeah exactly, and with your ex being dan humphrey you pretty much win by default" cassie added.
