CASSIE HAD SPENT THE SUMMER WITH JAMES IN LA, ALONG WITH JOSIE AND THE REST OF THE MANAGEMENT TEAM TO WORK ON THE ALBUM AND DO SOME OTHER WORK.
james had pushed cassie to do interviews, parties, photoshoots, album work, etc. every single day!
now in la every detail of cassie's life was public, much to her dismay. james westwood was a man that loves attention all kinds of it, and he will do anything to get it.
cassie walked onto the set of another interview and sat down. "good morning cassidy! how are you? and welcome to our show" the host smiled at the girl, "i'm doing good, i'm so glad to be here" she sent a warm smile back.
"how's your album going?" the man asked her, "its going good, we've finally reached the process of recording" cassie answered. "are you going to be going back to new york to finish?" he asked.
"me and james are going to go back to finish up the album and for the release maybe next week?" cassie guessed, and the crowd cheered. "you and james have been together a while, huh? i still don't see a ring on that finger yet?"
"we haven't really talked about marriage much, especially after everything last year" cassie stopped talking since she didn't want to bring up her baby, and hoped no one else would.
"oh right the baby! james had mentioned you guys were trying for another one, any luck?" the host commented and cassie looked up in suprise since she wasn't exactly sure and that she wanted that to be private.
"um, not yet" she pressed her lips together, "oh look at that, times up! i've loved being here today and hope to be back soon, bye!" she forced a smile then ran out.
cassidy had plans to meet up with serena who was also in la, and chuck, and nate since they were there aswell.
"hey!" she ran up to hug serena, "cassie! hi!" she hugged the girl tightly. "archie" she hugged nate aswell, "gilmore, nice to see you" he laughed.
"who's boat is this?" cassie asked looking around, "chuck's he won it in some gambling spree" serena told the girl and the three laughed when chuck came out.
"cassie, serena" chuck hugged both the girls. "usually when you smile like this you look like a creepy cheshire cat, but this time its real. whats your secret? and if its legal, pass" cassie winked. "its not a substance its a state of mind, a word" chuck stated.
"a dirty word?" serena guessed, "the word is yes. i say it at anything, if an opportunity presents itself i'll take it, there's nothing i won't try once, even happiness" chuck smiled.
"hes very inspiring, he should run an infomercial" nate added and the group laughed. "you mock" chuck defended himself.
"so cassie, are we going to your boyfriend's party?" chuck asked, "yes we are, let's go everybody" cassie headed out of the boat and into her car with the group.
cassie, nate, chuck and serena all entered the party but cassie took a moment to go find james.
she eventually found him talking to an older woman and walked up to him. "james" cassie crossed her arms. "oh cassidy! this is diana payne, diana, this is cassidy" he introduced awkwardly. "nice to meet you diana, james, can we talk?" cassie asked sternly.
cassie led the man to a room and shut the door. "did you take the test i left on the counter this morning?" he asked with a hopeful smile. "yeah, negative" she crossed her arms and continued, "but thats not what i wanted to talk to you about" cassie said.
"why the hell did you tell everyone we were trying again?! this is the second time!" cassie yelled. "calm down, were celebrities, the public were going to find out anyway" he argued. "i don't want my personal life to be so public, i've told you this before!" cassie put her head in her hands.
"i think the stress of the tests are getting to you, i'll make you happy, i always do" he told the girl before leaving the room.
cassie was talking to serena at the party when james came onto the mic. "will my lovely girlfriend come onto the stage?" he asked and serena pushed cassie onto the stage. "sit down" he escorted her into a chair.
"as you know, cassidy davis gilmore and i have been working together but i've fallen in love with her. cassie, you are the most gorgeous girl i've ever met. your so generous, smart, kind, and beautiful. i love you, and i think i want to spend the rest of my life with you." james said and everyone gasped, including cassie.
"so, cassidy, will you marry me?" james asked, putting the microphone into cassie's face. "yes!" she cried as she jumped up to hug him. "i can't ever stay mad at you" she whispered as she hugged him.
cassie, nate, and chuck waited by the limo, for serena to come. the blonde finally came and the group started to talk. "so this summer was a success?" serena asked the group and everyone nodded. "well our gilmore is going to be a westwood soon" chuck smiled at the blonde.
"i know, i can't believe it" cassie chuckled, looking down at her ring. "show it to me again!" serena said with a huge smile. "oh thats a rock alright" serena held cassie's hand with caution.
"congrats again cassie" nate smiled at the blonde, "thank you" she laid her head on serena. "is james not coming home?" nate asked, "he needs to finish up something then hes coming" cassie answered.
"i'm not coming either, jane offered me a job!" serena exclaimed. "thats amazing s! congrats!" cassie hugged the girl.
"i should go now though! bye guys!" serena headed off.
"ready to go back guys?" cassie asked the two and they headed into the car.
