CASSIE UNPACKED HER STUFF IN THE GUEST BEDROOM IN JOSIE'S PLACE.
she heard footsteps through the door so she went to check it out to see her brunette friend. "oh hey!" she said to the now mid-length blonde. "hey jo!" cassie smiled.
"did you unpack your stuff?" joesphine asked, "yeah i did, thanks for letting me stay here, while i find an apartment"
"stay here as long as you need cassie" josie breathed, "how's your mom doing?" cassie asked and josie had started to cry. "oh josie, i'm so sorry" cassie hugged the woman as she sobbed. "shes not gonna get better, only worse" the brunette sniffled. "joesphine i am so sorry" cassie comforted the woman. "its fine, fine. do you mind leaving the house for today? i want to be alone now" she wiped her tears. "yeah of course, i'll get out of your hair" cassie said before she left the house.
the blonde made her way to the coffee shop with a cigarette in hand. "hey can i get a plain black coffee?" she asked the worker. "the name's cassidy" she pressed her lips together.
"cassie?" she heard a voice from behind and turned to see ryan, nate, madelyn and a blonde girl sitting together. "i thought you weren't coming back?" ryan questioned the girl , with his arm around the blonde. "well i'm back" she stated. "you smoke? i thought you quit?" nate looked the girl dead in the eye. "old habits always have a way of coming back"
"what are you two together now?" she leaned on the table and nate and madelyn stayed quiet. "i should've known" she rolled her eyes. "cassie-" nate started, "cassidy, and don't" she interrupted. "um, juliet, this is my twin sister cassidy, the popstar, and cassie, this is juliet. my girlfriend" ryan said and cassie smiled knowing her twin brother deserved this.
"hi! i'm juliet, its so nice to meet you, ryan's told me a lot about you. i just moved from cornwall, to be here at columbia with my best friend madelyn" the girl gestured to her friend whom cassie hated. "oh we've met jules" madelyn awkwardly said. "i wish we hadn't though"
"plain black coffee for cassidy!" the worker shouted. "i should go" she turned to walk away. "you hate black coffee" nate said, "people change nate" she said taking a blow of her cigar.
"cassie" ryan spoke, and she turned to look at him before she left. "chuck's having a charity party tonight, you should come" he said and she nodded before leaving.
cassidy made her way to her old bar nearby and headed inside. "hey joe" she took a seat on the bar stool. "cassidy? i haven't seen you in a while, you look different" he said, and he was right,
cassie used to have long blonde hair, light makeup, bright clothes and a huge smile on her face all the time. now she cut her hair mid length, added black highlights, and a darker wardrobe.
"thanks joe, i'll take your best tequila and tell me when its 7 pm, i have a gathering to attend too" cassie said as she drank the shot.
a few hours later cassie had passed out due to the large alcohol consume. "cassidy" joe shook the girl awake. "what?" she groaned. "wake up its 7:15, i've been trying to get you awake for half an hour" joe told the girl. "oh my god, i'm late" she groaned as she headed out.
cassie changed into a black dress and fixed up her makeup before heading to the charity.
the blonde made her way to the bar at the event to order a wine before she met with everyone. "white wine please" she said, "make that two" her twin brother said from beside.
"hey" she smiled softly. "hey, how are you? how's joesphine?" he asked. "um were both horrible, you?" she looked over. "i think my girlfriend's cheating on me" he said as the two walked with their wine.
"again seriously?" cassie laughed. "shut up" he slapped her arm. "she never invites me to her apartment, and is so hard to make plans with. and some guy ben texted her phone." he ranted. "oh damn, i thought she was nice" cassie breathed as she took a sip of her drink.
"hi" juliet walked up to the duo. "hey, um i'm gonna let you guys be" cassie quickly scurried off.
"cassidy!" blair called out. "hey blair!" cassie pulled the girl in for a tight hug. "i didn't know you were coming back at all" blair pulled away, "just some issues we need to deal with" cassie chuckled.
"whats new?" cassie asked, putting her hand in blair's. "um , chuck got a new girlfriend eva, and got mugged and shot" blair stated. "what?!" cassie put her hand over her mouth.
"chuck got shot?" "yep" blair pressed her lips together. "oh chuck's about to make his announcement" cassie said.
chuck had announced that he was starting a new charity, the eva coupeau foundation. blair's jaw dropped and cassie instantly comforted her friend.
"oh god b, i am so sorry" cassie put her hands on the waldorf's shoulders. "its fine, its fine" blair avoided eye contact, "cass, follow me" she pulled the girl over to chuck's valet.
"ivan, we need to see the envelope lily gave chuck, i left something in it" blair grabbed the envelope and she and cassie pulled out a passport.
"a passport?" cassie questioned. "oh my god, eva knew chuck this whole time" blair gasped.
