IT HAD BEEN A WEEK SINCE CASSIE HAD FOUND OUT HER BIG NEWS. she had told her parents, serena, aubrey, blair, josie, nathan and james, but somehow news had gotten around and now its on gossip girl.
cassie had been home alone when she got the ping. the blonde opened her phone to see gossip girl.
"new news! a little birdie had told me that the it couple, cassidy and james are expecting! how are nate and dan going to feel?" she read and her jaw dropped in shock, mainly at the remark about her exes.
she put a hand to her head pacing at how gossip girl could have found out. a bit later she had heard a knock at the door.
"nate?" cassie looked at the slightly pissed man in front of her. "hey" he said and she smiled softly, "oh god are you mad about gossip girl? i'm so sorry" she frowned leaning against the door. "i'm not mad, sorry somethings happened with chuck. but i came to say, congratulations!" he hugged the girl.
"thank you! come inside" she smiled, still having her arm around him.
"whats going on with chuck?" she asked throwing her hands into her pockets. "okay, you know raina right?" he asked.
"yes, your girlfriend and chuck's ex, by the way shes gorgeous, how did you and chuck both get her?" cassie joked. "your funny but anyway, she's been looking for her mom but chuck found out bart was involved with a fire in a building that killed her and he wants me to keep it from her until further notice. that was a lot" he laughed softly.
"oh my god" cassie looked up at him. "chuck's investigating it, right?" she asked and he nodded. "of course" she breathed. "um lets talk about something else, like your baby" he smiled and her face instantly lit up.
"okay so we have a bunch of stuff for the baby all here, let me show you the room" she pulled him into the baby's room.
the room was cream colored, but she had buckets on green paint on the floor and a crib that needed to be opened, with a bunch of decorations scattered.
"we can't find out the gender yet so i bought a bunch of girl clothes and boy clothes! blair got me a lot too, as an apology gift" she grinned as she showed nate the clothes.
"you have a long time left cass, why are you doing all of this now?" nate asked. "i'm trying to focus on the album but james really wants to have a huge baby shower party but i said no and hes getting offtrack so i wanted to get the baby stuff out of the way" she smiled.
"oh yeah speaking of blair, did you know the prince invited her to some huge party to choose whatever princess he wanted" he told the girl, "thats great for b, hes gonna choose her, obviously" cassie laughed.
"oh my god" nate put his head in his hands. "what? whats wrong?" cassie asked. "chuck knows about the party, i got to go cass!" he sprinted out the door.
