CASSIDY HAD DECIDED SHE NEEDED A BREAK FROM THE UPPER EAST SIDE. so the night her and nate got engaged they had decided to flee to her dad's beach house in the hamptons for some time off.
the morning after cassie looked over at nate who was still sleeping and slipped out off bed. she slipped on a black silk dress and headed outside.
she closed the back door and leaned over the fence and watched waves come up onto the sand. it was surprisingly not cold at all.
she pulled out out her phone and saw many missed calls from aubrey, ryan, blair, serena, chuck, even dan. her parents had also called a couple times and sent texts. james and aurora had also sent her a few angry voicemails and calls mainly about the album and what she did.
cassie pulled up gossip girl and saw a few posts about herself.
"cassidy davis gilmore has fled from her wedding to james westwood, with nate archibald? no way! and james was cheating on her the whole time, with his ex, aurora lynn aves"
"remember the album cassie and james were supposed to launch together? well our popstar princess had ditched that idea and flew solo, with her new album on her own, wonder. thats not very princess of her, so i guess she needs a new nickname, wild star?"
cassie did a bit of reading and found out her album was doing really well in sales. it took a lift off much quicker than her first.
she thought about her fight with aubrey and decided to call her. "cassie? hi!" aubrey exclaimed on the other end. "aubrey! hey! sorry i haven't been on my phone for a while" cassie chuckled softly. "about the wedding, are you okay?" the brunette asked. "i'm fine, i got away for a bit with nate, but i did want to talk to you" cassie responded.
"i'm sorry" the two said at the same time, "i'll go first, um i should have believed you since you are my best friend and i know you would tell me the truth" cassie ranted. "i know c, i know, i forgive you but you were really happy i get why you didn't" aubrey said. "were good right?" aubrey asked, "yes of course, i should go but i'll see you in a couple days" cassie said before hanging up.
she placed her phone on the railing as she felt hands wrap around her. "hey" nate looked over her. "hi, how was your sleep?" cassie asked, "better, knowing you were right beside me" he said placing his hand on top of hers.
"did you tell aubrey?" he asked, "not yet, i wanted to do it in person" she pressed her lips together.
"were getting married" she smiled, looking at her ring. "yes we are" nate rested his head on hers.
