ONE thing cassie would never expect to happen was to become famous on her own. she had always thought she would become popular through her rich communications. since her performance at the fashion show she had gone completely viral. shes trending on gossip girl and her phone has been blowing up with texts and calls from people who wanted to meet with her.
cassie wasn't even sure if she wants all this fame let alone become a singer professionally.
currently she, aubrey and serena were sitting at the met steps waiting for blair to show up.
"cassie your practically famous now!" aubrey smiled holding onto her best friends hands. "yeah!" cassie awkwardly nodded. "have you met with any producers yet?" serena asked. "no not yet, i don't know if i should" cassie stammered. "you've got serious talent cass, at least try it out" serena added. cassie gave her a soft smile and was about to speak but blair interrupted.
"uhm where have you guys been?" blair angrily asked storming up to the three. "hey b" cassie smiled but the short brunette crossed her arms and frowned. "i met my moms boyfriend today" she hissed. "ooh is he cute?" cassie asked. "no cassie! hes short and old, annoying and ugh!" blair yelled.
"he can't be that bad b" aubrey laughed. "hes horrible aubs!" blair miffed. "does your mom like him?" serena asked, "yes a lot" the brunette frowned. "then be nice to him please, its the least you could do" cassie said getting up from her seat. "where are you going at a time like this?!" blair asked, "i'm going to meet with a few producers" cassie said and her best friends faces instantly lit up with joy.
cassie walked into her house trying to find her laptop to make appointments with agents and producers. she really did have a lot of talent and she enjoyed singing so why not try to make it big?
she looked over and saw her mom passed out on the couch and dirty dishes, and papers everywhere. usually the very few times her mom was home she would be passed out due to too much acholic consumption ,she never would have thought it would be due to her mom being pregnant.
nate was also staying at the house for a while since dan kicked him out due to the whole jenny fashion show thing. he wasn't home right now because he went to see chuck.
cassie rummaged through the stacks of papers on the counter trying to find her laptop making quite a lot of noise. "cassidy? is that you?" monica awoke. "yep" cassie mumbled back. "i saw your little song this morning on gossip girl" she paused and walked towards her daughter who was typing on her laptop.
