"Am I gonna die trying to find my happy ending? And will I ever know what it's like to be fine without pretending that my skin isn't crawling, my demons aren't calling and tearing me to shreds?"

A/N: I'm back! I've missed updating so badly omg.
Please read through the whole chapter, even though there is a lot of exposition (sorry)! I like to write long chapters haha. Also there are some questions at the end that I'd appreciate answers to!
Personally and mentally? I'm not doing great! But I'm so happy to be able to post again and get words written.
Warnings: abuse, addiction, anxiety, homophobia, depression, domestic violence, grief, gun violence, language, panic attacks, sexual harassment/assault, violence, weapons, and other mature themes

Zion's POV: Six Weeks Later
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Robby, happy birthday to you!"
Robby blows out his candles as we all cheer. His hand wraps around my waist, and he gives me a happy smile, as if I'm what matters most in this moment somehow. I smile, too. Then he smiles brightly at everyone who showed up for his birthday party.
"Okay, okay, let me cut the cake," Carmen says as she goes to lift it.
"Let me help, Mom," Miguel comes over.
"I can still carry a cake, Miggie," Carmen says with a knowing smile. Miguel puts his hands in the air in surrender.
"Happy eighteenth, Robby. You've grown into an exceptional young man," Daniel and Amanda walk over with a thick envelope.
"Thanks. I hope you know how much of what you've taught me has made me who I am," he tells them earnestly. "And thank you for letting us use Miyagi-Do for the party. It really was a surprise."
"Well, while it's kind of you, thank Zion," Amanda gestures to me. "She threw all of this together for you."
"Really?" Robby turns to me with his award-winning smile.
"Yeah, but everyone helped in some way," I explain.
"Thank you," he tells me as I see Daniel and Amanda walk away. He's so happy tonight.
Anthony comes up to Robby after to talk.
"I can take your present," I tell him as I take the gift and walk it to the pile.
Six weeks ago the Sekai Taikai arena burned down. Everything changed for everyone there. It's not being rescheduled.
No one died, but a few were injured, including me. The stab wound in my thigh has healed except for a small scar that I'm told will eventually fade. I wasn't able to walk properly for two weeks. Now I'm back to normal training and regaining my strength.
That's the only thing normal now, it seems.
The firefighters had the situation handled by the time I made it outside with Tory and Robby. I even got all my stuff back after the fire; most did. It mainly hit the arena filled with mats, chairs, and equipment.
They say Kwon made it back to Korea with the rest of Cobra Kai and allegedly Kreese. Tory is at the party today, though. She agreed to come back and try to face the Valley, not that she really had much of a choice, I guess.
