"You're doing great, Babe," Brandon smiled as he watched her slide her foot just a few inches in front of her. The pressure of her fingers pressing into his arm as she inhaled through her nose made him want to just scoop her up into his arms and carry her the rest of the way into the bathroom but he knew he couldn't do that right now. Every instinct in him was screaming for him to fuck it and do it anyway but that look in Doc's green eyes when he told him no made it very clear that this was a major step for her so he would do like he has always done and trust his husband.

The slight shifting of her hair grazing his arm caught Brandon's attention, snapping him out of his thoughts. Her arm reached out to grasp the bathroom doorway. "Okay Sweetheart. I want you to hold onto the bars when you get to the toilet and I will lift your gown," Sean said as he moved Brandon's arm so he was their wife's sole support system. Brandon tightened his grip slightly as he stood behind her. Sean reached over to get some hand sanitizer on his hands. Once he was done, he pulled on some fresh gloves. "Alright Sweetheart. I'm going to put your hands on your Bam Bam's shoulders and he's going to help you sit. Please trust that we have you, Sweetheart."

Brandon's breath hitched as her blue eyes landed on his. Even with her bruises and sunken skin she was still breathtaking. Her natural beauty and pure heart was something he was going to have Gabe find a way to paint for him. He wanted to be surrounded by her and her goodness 24/7. They were right, she was their light, their goddess and he was going to protect her and worship her for the rest of their days.

"Trust," she murmured. "Trust...," her lips frowned slightly as the crease between her eyebrows formed. Something was on her mind, confusing her. He didn't like it and by the look on Sean's face, he didn't like whatever was bothering her either.

"What is it, Pebbles?" Brandon asked gently.

Her eyes darted back to his in surprise. "Pebbles?" she asked curiously. "Pebbles...Peb...Bam Bam..." she whispered in thought. "Bam...cartoon? Real?" her eyes went back to him. "Real?" Her head tilted to the side with confusion and fear and hope.

Brandon smiled proudly and nodded, "Real, Babe. We watch the Flintstones together. You took care of me when I got sick even though I tried to kick you out of my room. You recited our vows perfectly back to me and glared when you reminded me in sickness and in health. You put your foot down and said it was your right and how could I protect you like Bam Bam does Pebbles if I am sick? It was right then that I was deemed your Bam Bam and you are my Pebbles. Very much real. And thank you for asking."

"Huh?" She looked at him then Sean bewildered.

"He means we are very proud and glad you trust us to help you know what's real and not," Sean explained as he worked with Brandon to help ease her onto the toilet. "You asking us means you trust us to tell you the truth and that means the world to us. Now hold onto the railings and we will step out to give you some privacy. Do you think you can hit the wall three times to let us know you are done?"

"Do not try and stand, Pebbles," Brandon said sternly. He cleared his throat before his eyes softened, "Please."

She nodded once, "Kay."

"Thank you," both said in unison. They walked out of the bathroom and Sean shut the door behind him.

"I don't like this, Doc," Brandon admitted.

"I know," Sean nodded. "I don't either but she needs to do this."

"I know," Brandon nodded, "But I'm pulling a North right now, I don't like it. She was trembling in exhaustion just taking a couple of steps."

"I know," Sean repeated. "I was right there with you, but mentally and emotionally, she needs this, Brandon. We have to prove ourselves to her. Just–"

A soft slap came through the door, silencing whatever Sean was about to say. Another and then another. "Alright Pebbles, I'm opening the door," Brandon warned as his fingers wrapped around the bathroom doorknob.

"Doc?" She meekly asked as her cheeks grew red.

"What is it, Sweetheart?" Sean asked rushing past Brandon over to her. He leaned down and she whispered something to him. "Ohhh, of course, Sweetheart," Sean nodded then turned to Brandon, "give us a few minutes, Bran, please."

He frowned in confusion then followed Sean's eyes to the toilet paper before going back to Brandon. "Of course," Brandon nodded as he backed out of the doorway. "Just call when you need my help."

"Thank you," Sean nodded. A couple minutes later, Brandon heard the toilet flush. "Brandon."

Brandon opened the door to see Sean holding Jennifer in his arms. "Bam Bam," She sighed in relief. "Tired, care–"

"Come here, Pebbles," Brandon smiled as he moved her arm from Sean's chest to wrap around his neck. "Upsy daisy," he bent down and swooped his arm under her knees before standing so he was holding her bridal style. "Alright, back to bed for you, Pebbles."

"Docy lay too?" she asked as she dropped her head into the crook of Brandon's neck.

"Of course."
