Ch.311 Thankful

A few weeks later, Emma and Killian were preparing for Thanksgiving the night before when the three little ones were in bed sleeping. Henry was with Ava at her house, helping her with her recovery. Her memory is coming back in slowly.Killian was cleaning the turkey as Emma was prepping the stuffing. Her parents were bringing stuffing, brussels sprouts, and cranberry sauce.

Killian puts the turkey in the refrigerator. He noticed his swan was tired. "Swan, I can finish the stuffing. You need to sleep."

"I am just thinking of Ava. Henry has been with her every day, trying to get her memory back.."

Killian hugged his wife. "We found the person, love. She is alive, which is the important thing."

She sighs, "I know."

"That is why there is more patrol. You're the sheriff who thought of the idea." They hear Ian crying.

"Ian..."

"I got him, love."

"I hope he did not have another accident in his bed. I thought potty training boys would be easier."

"I will check on our son." He kissed his wife on the head and went upstairs. Emma continues to cook the stuffing and placed in silver trays.

The following day, Killian put the turkey in the oven. He went to his pub in town. Emma was up with her little ducklings watching Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Ian, Hope and Leia were all in awe with the balloons going all over New York City. Ian pointed at Bluey balloon, "Blue!"

"Yes, that is Bluey!"

Hope faced her Mommy, "Mommy, where is Daddy?"

"Daddy went into town."

Leia, "Henwy not here?"

"He is with Ava at her house."

"Oh."

"Is Henwy okay? He is not happy."

"He is worried for Ava since she got hurt."

"Henry is coming home in time for turkey." They continue to watch the parade.

Killian was at the pub, giving a Thanksgiving meal with his pub crew to the needy. Snow White was in town buying bake goods for dessert to bring over to her daughter's house. She sees the line and enters. She sees Killian handing out boxes of meals of Thanksgiving to go. "Killian?"

"Hi, Snow White. Happy Thanksgiving."

"Happy Thanksgiving. Do you need any help?"

"Yes. Can you hand out the drinks?"

"Yes, I can." She handed out water bottles and hot cocoa with cinnamon to people coming by her table.

Clara went to Snow White. "Hi, Snow White."

"Hi, Clara! How is third grade?"

"It is going well. Thanks to Hope and her Mommy and Daddy, they helped my family have a new home."

"That is wonderful!"

"I am here to help out. Killian told me to pass chocolate turkeys to everyone."

"That is great."

"Where is Hope?"

"She is at home. Do you see her at school?'

"Yes, we sit together at lunch with Melody! We trade snacks for lunch."

"Just make sure you do not give Hope any nuts or peanuts."

"I know! Melody is very overprotective of Hope's peanut allergy." Snow White smiles at the 8 year old.
