Ch.259 Thankful

Ever since the elementary school shooting, Emma has been receiving thank you gifts candy, fruit baskets, baby items for Ian, drawings from students and sweet treats from the parents of the elementary school students who she saved. Killian tend to Ian letting Emma sleep from breastfeeding him.

On Thanksgiving day, Killian began cooking the turkey in the oven. Henry was prepping the stuffing. He made himself and his parents coffee.

Leia enters the kitchen. "Baby pirate,stay away from oven."

"Hot!"

"That is right, the oven is very hot."

"Baby sis, do you want to want to walk Ava with me?"

"Yes!"

"How is Ava the lass?"

"We are back together."

"That is great son."

"Her and her family are coming over. I already told Mom."

Killian gets Leia ready to head outside. Henry and Leia go for a walk with Ava the dog. Ava the dog was enjoying her walk. Leia was trying to pet her as they were walking. "Baby sis, we have to let Ava walk."

"Okay!" Leia walks back to her brother. He held her hand. "Happy you out me "

"I am happy to be with my baby sis." Lately, their parents been busy with Ian and Hope.He has been having one one-on-one time with his baby sister which he is enjoying seeing her feisty and sweet loving butterfly personality. Leia always gets attention from her Daddy, she is Daddy's little girl.

Emma wakes up in the morning, to Killian standing up rocking Ian and Hope was sleeping right next to her. Ever since the school shooting, Hope has been wanting to sleep with them and afraid that someone leaves. School has been hard for her, and for most of the students. Emma, Killian or Henry would take turns staying in he halls to reassure Hope that she was safe. Archie has been very busy working with students who need counseling from the shooting.

Hope wakes up. "Hi, Mommy."

"Hi, baby girl." She hugged her daughter. "Are you ready to have turkey today?"

"Yes! Turkey!"

"Good morning, little love."

"Daddy!! Hi! Ian! Is he okay?"

"He is not happy right now." Ian began crying more. "I changed his diaper. You fed him. I do not know why he is still crying."

Emma takes her son from her husband. "Baby boy. Why are you crying?" She felt her son. "He feels warm."

"I will the thermometer."

"Is Ian okay?"

"We are going to find out."

"Ian, you are going to be okay." She rubs her brother's hand.

Killian returns with the baby thermometer and takes his son's temperature. "No fever."

"Maybe he is not happy this morning."

"Mommy, can I hold him?"

"He is not feeling well, little love."

"I help!"

Emma sets crying Ian in his big sister's arms. "Ian do not cwy. You are wif me. Baby bwo, I am here. It is turkey day!" Ian stops crying. Hope smiled big she got her baby brother to stop crying. Emma and Killian were surprised. "Ian stop cwying!!"

"Yes, he just wanted his big sister to hold him."

"I luv Ian!" He kissed his brother on the head.

Killian takes a photo of his son and daughter. "He is so happy to be with his big sister."
