Pretty Boy Diggory

"Wake up, Calli!" Lucy yelled excitedly.

"Lucy?" Calli groggily opened her eyes to see her friend beaming at her.

Her eyes felt heavy from crying, and she was sure they were puffy.

"Why are you up this early?" Calli asked, sitting up in bed.

"Can't I be excited for my best friend's first date? It's called being supportive." Lucy replied with a scoff.

"Oh my god! I completely forgot about that." Calli groaned, burying her face in her hands. "Maybe I should cancel..."

"No, no. This will be good for you." Lucy said, sitting at the edge of Calli's bed.

"Yeah, it'll help you get your mind off stuff." Stella added, walking toward her friend's wardrobe. "We were thinking you should wear the blue shirt. It makes your eyes pop." She pulled it from the hanger.

"And the black skirt."

"You guys really thought this through, haven't you?" Calli watched as Stella pulled out her skirt and a cape to go with it.

"With Flint making you practice for hours on end, Prefect duties, and all the homework, we thought we'd pitch in." Stella said with a smile, none of them daring to mention last night.

"What are friends for?" Lucy placed a hand on Calli's shoulder. "Now chop chop! Off to the showers, young lady. Time is wasting."

Calli chuckled at her friends before doing as she was told.

After her shower, they made her sit in front of them and Lucy immediately pulled out her wand.

Seeing that, Calli jumped up and threw her hands up defensively.

"Lucy, lower your wand."

"What? I'm just going to dry your hair." Lucy replied, confused.

"I still don't trust you around my hair. Remember the Colovaria accident?"

Stella burst into laughter, remembering the time Lucy had turned Calli's hair bright pink instead of a lighter shade of brown.

"I'm telling you that was on purpose!" Lucy defended herself.

"Not any better." Stella sang.

"Fine. Stella can do it."

"I'm perfectly capable of drying my own hair." Calli grabbed her wand and sighed. "But thank you. Really. You're great friends."

"Now don't go all soppy on us, Calli." Lucy winked.

"Oh shut up, Lucy." Calli rolled her eyes with a smile.

"And she's back."

The trio walked to the Great Hall together, dressed and ready for Hogsmeade.

Calli's smile faltered when she saw Theo sitting at the table.
