Calli's mood was electric.
The Quidditch Pitch had practically exploded after the match.
Slytherin had flattened Hufflepuff so badly that the score difference alone pushed them 200 points ahead in the overall standings.
Which meant one thing.
Slytherin now led the Quidditch Cup.
And Gryffindor was in second place behind them.
If things kept going this way they were going to win the Cup again.
Calli still had the mandrake leaf tucked carefully in her cheek.
Only a week left until the full moon.
Just one more week.
Unfortunately for two particular Gryffindors, their own captain had taken the Hufflepuff loss personally.
Deep inside a dusty, disused bathroom somewhere in Hogwarts Castle, two redheads lay sprawled dramatically across the floor.
Fred groaned loudly.
"You had to flatten Hufflepuff."
Beside him, George raised an arm weakly.
"I can't feel my arms."
Lucy sat cross-legged nearby and rolled her eyes.
"Hey. You lot stole the House Cup from us two years in a row. There's no way we're giving up the Quidditch Cup too."
Fred dragged a hand across his face.
"Our captain is a madman."
Across the room, Calli was crouched over a small cauldron.
Steam curled upward as she carefully stirred a potion.
"Correction." George said weakly from the floor. "Oliver Wood is a man possessed."
"Absolutely possessed." Fred agreed, staring up at the ceiling.
"He wants to win the Cup before graduating." George added. "Which apparently means murdering the entire team through training."
Calli smirked faintly but didn't look up from the potion.
She added a crushed ingredient.
The smoke that rose from the cauldron shifted into a soft sweet scent.
Lucy leaned closer.
"That actually smells nice."
Stella nodded approvingly from where she sat with a book.
"Much better than the last one."
Fred turned his head lazily toward Calli.
"So..." He said, voice still dramatic, "how did Diggory handle being flattened by his girlfriend's team?"
Calli paused mid-stir.
"What girlfriend?"
Fred blinked.
Then Calli's eyes widened slightly.
"Oh."
She frowned.
"You don't know."
Lucy looked up.
"You didn't tell them?"
Calli shrugged lightly.
"I've been busy."
She dropped another ingredient into the cauldron.
