Half Fish. Half Man?

Calli felt lighter.

Not entirely.

The words were still there; hovering, waiting, sitting right at the edge of something she wasn't quite ready to say.

She shook her head slightly, forcing herself back into focus, quill moving quickly across parchment as she continued her research on spell creation.

The library was quiet.

Peaceful.

Until someone spoke loudly.

"There's a way of doing it!"

Calli's quill paused.

Hermione.

"There just has to be!"

Calli exhaled slowly, closing her eyes for a brief second.

Ron shouted in return. 

"Oi, you lot!" She called across the rows, not even looking up yet. "Some of us are trying to do some research here."

Chairs scraped then three heads popped up almost instantly.

Ron.

Hermione.

And a very miserable looking Harry.

"Calli!" They all said at once.

Calli raised a brow.

"We're so stupid." Hermione muttered, already moving. "Why didn't we think of you sooner?"

"Because her face is usually stuck to Fred's." Ron commenting making Calli's jaw drop.

"Wait- what-"

Too late.

Hermione grabbed her hand and started pulling.

"Hey! I was-" Calli scrambled to gather her books and notes, barely managing not to drop anything as she was dragged across the aisle. "Hermione!"

They reached the table in a flurry of parchment and panic.

Hermione didn't even pause.

"Harry has to stay underwater for an hour tomorrow." She rushed. "And he's currently considering becoming an Animagus and turning into a goldfish."

Calli blinked.

Then laughed.

"Right." She said, setting her things down. "Well, first of all that takes at least a month."

Harry groaned.

"And second, you don't get to pick what you turn into. I don't think you're a goldfish in spirit Harry."

She glanced at him.

Harry dropped his forehead onto the table with a dull thud.

"Brilliant."
