At fifteen minutes to eight the following evening, Calli, Fred, George, Lucy and Stella were making their way towards the seventh floor for their first official and very much forbidden Defence meeting.
Hermione had somehow managed to get word to all thirty-one members without Umbridge finding out. The instructions had been strangely specific: seventh floor, corridor opposite the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy attempting to teach trolls ballet and being clobbered by them.
Apparently there was somewhere to meet there.
Calli had questions.
Mostly about how Hermione had discovered it.
Their footsteps echoed up the staircase as they climbed, Calli walking hand in hand with Fred while George trailed beside Lucy and Stella.
"How's the bum?" Lucy suddenly asked.
George grimaced.
"Horrible after Quidditch practice yesterday. Every time I sat on my broom, I could feel the boils-"
"I don't need details." Calli interrupted.
"But Stella's salve did its magic."
George threw an arm dramatically around Stella's shoulders.
"Stella Addington, you are a bum saver."
Fred burst out laughing.
Calli nearly missed the next step.
Lucy doubled over against the banister.
Stella, meanwhile, looked utterly mortified.
"Please don't use your bum and my name in the same sentence ever again."
"But it's true."
"I don't care."
"You saved it."
"George."
"My bum owes you a great debt."
"George!"
Fred was practically hanging off Calli now.
"Stop encouraging him." Stella snapped.
"I'm not saying anything!"
"You're laughing!"
"So is Calli!"
Calli immediately attempted to compose herself.
"I'm sorry."
Stella pointed at her.
"No, you're not."
"No." Calli admitted. "I'm really not."
Lucy wiped beneath her eyes.
"I think Stella Addington: Bum Saver has a lovely ring to it."
"I'm going back to the dungeons."
Stella turned around.
Calli grabbed the back of her robes.
"No, you're not."
"I preferred my life before I became friends with any of you."
"Too late." George said cheerfully.
Stella glared at him.
"Next time, suffer."
George's smile dropped.
"You don't mean that."
"I do."
"You took an oath."
"I haven't taken any oath! I'm not a Healer yet!"
