Sir Cadogan Gets Fired

The next morning in the Great Hall was unusually calm for Callidora.

For once she had managed to finish breakfast quickly, her mind already racing ahead to the stack of books waiting for her in the Hogwarts Library.

She grabbed her bag and headed toward the doors.

A hand suddenly caught the back of her robe and pulled her backward.

Calli stumbled half a step.

"Hey!"

She turned.

Fred Weasley stood there in full Gryffindor Quidditch uniform, broom slung over his shoulder.

He looked deeply offended.

"You're not going to watch us play?"

Calli blinked.

"...play?"

Fred stared at her like she had personally insulted his ancestors.

"Yes. Play."

Behind him, George snorted.

Calli's eyes widened.

"Oh shoot!"

Fred folded his arms.

"You forgot."

"I forgot." She admitted.

"Brilliant."

She groaned, rubbing her forehead.

"I've been living in the library for two weeks."

Fred raised an eyebrow.

"That explains the ink."

Calli sighed.

"Of course I'm watching. Merlin, I'm sorry."

Fred's expression softened slightly.

"You'd better."

She reached up and squeezed his shoulder.

"Good luck."

George grinned.

"We won't need it."

Fred pointed a finger at her dramatically.

"If we lose, I'm blaming your lack of early moral support."

Calli laughed and pushed him toward the doors.

"Go. Before your captain starts screaming."

Ten minutes later Calli entered the Slytherin Common Room.

Lucy looked up from the couch.

"Well, look who finally lifted her head from the books."

Calli rolled her eyes.
