The days between the first and second meetings of Dumbledore's Army passed surprisingly quickly.

For Calli, they were divided between schoolwork, Head Girl duties, Quidditch, helping Fred and George with their products, avoiding earning another detention with Umbridge and trying to solve the considerably more dangerous problem her father had given her.

She wasn't particularly successful at the avoiding-Umbridge part.

But she was trying.

Mostly.

The morning after their first meeting, Calli found Hermione in the library before breakfast.

She was already surrounded by books.

Of course she was.

Calli dropped into the chair opposite her and placed a roll of parchment on the table.

Hermione looked at it.

Then at Calli.

"What's that?"

"You asked me to help Harry."

"Yes."

"So I made a curriculum."

Hermione stared at her.

Calli unrolled the parchment.

It kept going.

Hermione's eyebrows climbed.

"I thought Harry said not to make an actual curriculum."

"He shouldn't have asked me, then."

Hermione leaned over it.

Calli had divided everything into categories.

Immediate Defence.

Counter-Jinxes.

Protective Charms.

Offensive Defence.

Movement and Reaction.

Advanced Defence.

There were notes beside almost everything, including which spells Calli thought the younger students could reasonably handle and which should wait until everyone had mastered the basics.

Hermione's mouth slowly curved into a smile.

"This is brilliant."

"I know."

Hermione rolled her eyes.

"I was thinking Shield Charms next."

"Same."

Calli pointed towards the section.

"Protego. Everyone should know it."

Hermione nodded.

"Some of the younger ones might have trouble."

"Then we keep working until they don't."

Hermione looked towards her.

Calli shrugged.

"Disarming someone is useful. Not getting hit in the first place is better."

"And after that?"

"Stunning Spells, probably. Impediment Jinx. Maybe Reductor Curse later." Calli grinned.

Hermione began reading further down.

"You've put Patronuses on here."

"Eventually." Calli tapped the parchment.

"And if we're actually preparing people for what's coming, I'd like everyone who can manage one to learn."
