Exam time was pretty boring and well, I don't think I'll bore you with it. I went into a room, I sat down and answered some questions. I had no classes so I spent a lot of time in my room studying and not much else.

I was kind of cut off from human contact other that the two occasional chat with Lily and everyone else about how the exam went. This year had gone fast and now I was starting to get nervous that university was only a year away.

Second year seniors were free to go home now as they had their last exam today but most of them were staying and going out as they're all 18 now and legal to drink and go to any club.

The second year senior I know definitely doesn't want to go home and be around his many many sisters. Especially as I know that Richards sister is getting married like a week or two before dad.

And how do I know? I got an invitation from her because Richard never tells his sisters anything.

I do see his younger sister, Emily around school a lot but she doesn't really acknowledge me much anymore as she knows all the gossip in school and knows we aren't together anymore.

"Final edition of the newspaper come out tomorrow and I am jammed. I have Ethan on the layout and Gina running through the headlines but I need to pin point everything wrong and make sure everything gets to the printers in time..." I panicked walking around the news room.

"Calm it." Lily laughed.

"Everyone reads this paper." I stated. "It has people's award nominations in for the award ceremony and it has people's last editorial piece in it and it's super important and I'm scared it might be my last issue." I said slowing down.

"You think you're going to be kicked off the paper?" Lily asked carefully.

"Well, yes. I've done it for a grand total of 8 months and so it's probably someone else's turn..." I shrugged.

"Just one more year then you leave for Uni anyway." Lily pointed out.

"I wish, but it's not up to me." I said sadly flicking through sheets of paper. I wasn't sure what I was doing but I was stressed out. "They already think I'm doing too many courses and they'd take anything away from me even the paper." I moaned.

"Who else would do it? They're all shit." Lily scoffed.

"We'll see I guess. Everything has to end sometimes." I moped about a little sad.

"I saw my article got printed." Richard said walking up to me as I was reading the newly released paper with a coffee at breakfast.

"That's what happens when you submit a piece. But you wouldn't know..." I smirked at him and he laughed.

"Ooh! Harsh." He said sitting opposite me. "Though being lazy is easy when you're parents own the paper and the ex is the editor." Richard shrugged.

"Not easy for me, I put in hard work and now I'm going to get kicked off." I complained slamming the paper down.

"What?"

"Well, they already think my workload is too much and now... They have a chance to take away my paper!" I moaned at him.

"I have connections." Richard whispered.

"So you'll be the new editor?" I rolled my eyes.

"No, you. I'll put in a good word." He shrugged.

"It won't work." I huffed.

"Defeatist." He coughed standing up.

"Idealist." I coughed back at him as he smirked at me and walked over to his own group of friends and left me alone.

"Two weeks and I'm out of here." I complained shoving my books down on the side as I walked into dorm huffing. "I just want to get out of here, I want to--" I turned around to see Lily with Matt on the sofa, watching tv.

"Go on." Matt smirked. Things were kind of back to normal since we'd broken up but actually sometimes things were too awkward to talk about with him.

"I just want to leave. Speaking of... I'm out." I smiled leaving them alone and going into my room.

I never knew if when they hung out alone it was because they still liked each other or whether it was just that they were really good friends. To be honest the last time they went out was this time last year.

But if they were dating someone would of told me. I'm always very informed now.

"You're lucky she doesn't look who's here before she talks. She can't catch us like that again." Lily complained at Matt shuffling away from a her a little.

"You don't think she saw us kiss did she?"  Matt asked slowly.

"No, she would of said something or been more awkward about it and left dorm. But she's still in her room so that's a good sign." Lily smirked leaning back closer to him.

"I don't see why we're keeping this a secret." Matt mumbled before kissing her gently.

"Because we hardly know what this is ourselves let alone anyone else. I don't need the whole speech from Jenna about being careful. Plus a very important time is coming up next week and I can't be arguing with her." Lily shrugged.

"Fine, but the minute you think it's okay, we tell her alright?" Matt said feeling guilty. He never liked hiding stuff from people especially his ex girlfriend, it just made things more weird.

"Alright, alright." Lily smirked before edging closer to him and pressing her lips to his gently.
