I hadn't talk to Richard in a week other than the odd text goodnight or good morning that would turn into a full blown conversation. That's okay though because we weren't meant to be boyfriend and girlfriend. We're just dating.Lily said as her house was empty this week I could go up and visit and stay the night. So I did which was good because it mean another day away from my annoying dad.
"So why are you inviting me to stay the night instead of having your boyfriend here every night?" I scoffed.
"He's been since Monday and I can only take so much of Matt. I think three nights is enough. He left this morning in a grump because I said you were coming." Lily explained.
"Oh you didn't have to kick him out." I laughed stepping into her room and sitting down on the sofa at the end of her bed.
"I'd rather when your here, that we spend time together. Otherwise it's like your a third wheel and I don't enjoy that." Lily smiled.
"Well thank you. But for future reference don't feel the need to kick him out." I laughed getting my laptop out of my bag.
"How are you doing?" Lily asked me as I started typing away on my computer.
"Huh? What with?" I frowned at her.
"With everything. You haven't been well recently and I feel like you wouldn't tell me anything unless I asked you." She shrugged defending herself.
"Well, I'm fine." I hummed looking back down at my computer.
"Really?"
"Yes, Lily please." I gave her the stop talking to me look.
"So--"
"How about we go into town? You said you needed some things?" I mumbled closing my laptop and slipping it into my bag, interrupting her from annoying me any further.
"Uh, okay. If you say so." She smiled as I went to get my bag.

The thing about town was that it was all outside, this wasn't an indoor shopping centre. It was a long couple of streets filled with all the good shops and cafes and bars where people sat outside in the amazing hot summer we were having.
"I can't wait for winter, these jumpers are adorable." Lily said excitedly as we stepped out of the shop holding bags of shopping we didn't intend on buying.
"I know, I got some bargains today. Everything I bought today I am in love with." I hummed happily as we walked through a restaurant and continued down the road.
"I want to go to boots quickly to get this new concealer that-- oh uh you know what it can wait let's go that way." Lily stopped abruptly and stood in front me as if to hide something.
"No, we have time." I shrugged stepping around her.
"No, Jen no--" Lily tried her hardest to push me away but it was expected I was dying to look. I glanced across the road at a cafe which was a bar at night and saw Richard leaning back on his chair ruffling his hands through his curly hair as he made lovey eyes at a blonde opposite him.
It wasn't until I looked closer that I noticed it was Molly.
"Oh." My heart sank in place as I took a step back and tried to hide myself as I saw him glance at me and notice me pretty clearly.
"He's obviously back on the hunt." Lily made her smart remark.
"Obviously." I breathed.
"He's seen us." Lily hummed.
"We should probably--" I said motioning across the road. We crossed and came to the cafe where they were and politely walked towards them both.
"Hey." Lily smiled leaning on a bit of railing.
"Hey what's up?" Richard asked smiling back up at her.
"Hi." I smiled at molly.
"How's it going Jen?" She asked. It was weird because at one point we were good friends but now? No way.
"Oh good, yeah." I smiled and I saw Richard roll his eyes from the corner of my eye and I just stared at him painfully.
"How about you join us for a drink?" Molly suggested gesturing towards the chairs beside them.
"Oh--" me and Lily said at exactly the same time.
"Are you in a rush?" Richard mumbled.
"No." Lily scoffed.
"No I guess not." I hummed as we walked around a tree and sat down. Lily next to Richard me next to Molly.
"I'll get us drink okay?" Lily smiled awkwardly standing up and then Molly offered to go and help her so she left too.
It was just me and Richard and you could literally feel how mad I was in the air. The casual thing never suited me. Especially when he started dating Molly? Wtf. Anything worse and he'd be dating honour again.
"You're mad." Richard laughed looking up at me as I sulked and looked away.
"Why would I be mad?" I scoffed.
"Because you have that look on your face. The crease in your eyebrows tells me that as much as you're smiling, you're angry." Richard smiled leaning forward on the table.
"Oh you caught me I'm pissed that they didn't have this jumper I wanted in my size." I smiled over the top at him leaning forward on the table also.
"Or at the fact I'm out with Molly." Richard laughed at me.
"Why would that bother me?" I frowned.
"I don't know because we're not going out, we're just dating so really you shouldn't be bothered by me seeing anyone else." He just came out and said it.
"I know the rules. I made them up." I smiled. "But Molly doesn't do dating. She's a serious relationship and that is kinda breaking the rules." I mumbled raising my eyebrows at him.
"Well then, you better be happy that I'm not dating her then." He scoffed.
"Wait what."
"I bumped into her today and we sat down, just like you and Lily just and did and chatted." Richard smirked. "Speaking of, here they are." He smiled as he saw the two of them bringing the drinks over.
We sat making awkward chit chat for about half an hour before Lily and I made an excuse and left. I gave Richard a weird look before leaving and he smiled back, like a genuine smile.
