Bored

"Why are you here?" Lily scoffed as she opened the door on me. "Gosh I've been saying that a lot recently."

"Bored." I sighed.

"Bored? You drove all the way here from your hometown because you were bored?" She asked slowly taking a few steps back. She'd mastered moving forward but she still wasn't great on her feet.

"No, they moved violet up to a children's hospital in central London area, and obviously that's not far from here so, I'm here now. Am I invading?" I asked.

"Of course not. You're always welcome." Lily smiled. "You okay though? You seem tense... I know violet being diagnosed but he difficult and I sound like an idiot saying it but you do have to chill out."

"I know, I know." I smiled sitting down with her on the sofa. "The atmosphere is just so dull there. We're pretending for violet that everything is fine but actually she's just spending all of her time crying because she hates needles and hates doctors."

"Understandable." Lily scoffed.

"Christmas was just fake, trying to keep violet happy with presents." I rolled my eyes. "It's just fake, we're all acting like it's fine but in reality how am I meant to go back to university in the new year?" I moaned.

"What do you mean Jenna?" Lily frowned.

"Well my little sister is sick and dad and Rachel have full time jobs." I explained.

"That's nothing for you to worry about. Jenna, your dad or Rachel will be given some compassionate leave because of this. It's not your responsibility and I know you want to be there for her, but uni is your dream. You love it." She scoffed.

"I guess so. I haven't spoken to dad or Rachel about that yet." I shrugged.

"Hey, you ok?" Richard asked as I turned up at his doorstep as well.

"Yeah just wanted to see you." I sighed falling into his arms and he gave me the nicest hug, it was really comforting.

"I wanted to see you too." He kissed my forehead.

I spent the night at Richards and told him all about the last week and everything's that's happened. It was so good to catch up with him because we'd only been separated a little while but it felt like so long.

I started to really miss him all the time now. I don't know what it is, but it keeps happening.

"Hey Jenna, did we ever solve the problem of the whole uni accommodation next year?" Richard suddenly asked me.

"Erm, I don't think so. Have you decided to go with your friends again?" I asked.

"Well I was waiting to see what you're doing with Lily and Matt and your flat mates, but I might just go with my mates, because it's not like we need to live together is it? We will end up hating each other if we share a flat." Richard laughed.

"You know you're probably right." I laughed. "I don't know what they're going to do next year, I don't know either, but I guess we have time to figure that all out." I shrugged.

"You like your flatmates though?" Richard questioned.

"Well yes mainly, grace and holly are lovely but they have other friends so you never know what they'll do. Max is so sweet, I'm sure he'll be with us next year. And tom and Alex? I have no idea. They just--"

"Wanna know my opinion?" He interrupted.

"Richard your opinion is mean you don't like anyone..."

"Grace is such a goody goody, Holly acts like that but isn't. Max is naive little boy still learning about everything, clearly never had a girlfriend or anything. Alex is in love with you, he's a little fuckboy and wants a piece of every girl he sees. Then well tom is just tom, just your average guy." Richard blurted out.

"Hun you're so mean." I laughed kissing him gently on the lips.

"I just tell the truth..." he kissed me back.

"You really think Alex is in to me?" I asked.

"I think everyone is in to you... I think Alex is in love with you. Following you round like a lost puppy." He rolled his eyes.

"Dude, that doesn't happen." I laughed. "Stop exaggerating."

"Whatever, how about I take you out to lunch huh?" Richard still had his arm around my waist and then kissed my head.

"Sounds good." I looked up at him and smiled. "When are you gunna shave?" I laughed touching his beard.

"I like my beard." Richard complained. He has been growing it out for a while now and it was really nice but I started to to just want my clean shaven kiss back.

Though he was very manly, and older looking with his beard. It made me a lot more attracted to him.

"Lily you were so fucking right! I'm so glad I spoke to you." Richard yelled on the phone to Lily.

"Okay, I am always right but what about this time?" She asked.

"Jenna, I'm so glad I didn't tell her about my crush. And it was definitely just a crush. Now Jenna and I have started back up wth the sex, I know I was definitely just crushing and I've realised how much I love Jenna now." He explained.

"Started back up?" She questioned.

"She must of told you, since the whole self harm thing the second time round, I yelled at her during sex about her scars re-appearing and we haven't really been active since then..."

"Oh I did not know about that." Lily said sadly.

"Yeah well it's all chill now, she spent the night at mine last night and it was great, I'm so glad I didn't blow this whole thing up for no reason." He smiled.

"I'm so glad for you too." Lily said excitedly. "I knew you weren't suddenly interested in someone else. That's not how it works!" She laughed.

"Thanks Lily."

"No problem. See ya later."
