"Where were you?" Matt asked kissing my cheek as I settled beside him. "You were gone for ages." He nodded his head towards Richard. I looked between the both of them completely blanked on words.

"Oh Jen got lost I had to go and find her, wandering the streets she was." Richard spoke quickly, covering our tracks. Everyone excepted it nodding their heads away.

"You alright you look..sad." Matt said holding my hand quickly, which was suddenly very comforting and I appreciated it so much.

"Oh no, I'm fine. Just a bit stressed, I uh walked down the wrong road." I played with my hair nervously as I spoke feeling guilty for lying to him.

"Well Violet has been a very good girl this afternoon." Molly said smiling at the girl who was sat at the end of the table between us all.

"Oh did you behave yourself?" I laughed gently brushing my finger against her cheek as she smiled up at me.

"Richard took me to a pond and we had ice cream and we played computers and we wrote articles for the paper." Violet hummed swinging her legs excitedly.

"Yeah how is the paper going?" Molly asked me smiling.

"Uh good, sorry I just realised your the only one not on it. But yeah it's good, I'm sure Richard doesn't stop talking about all pieces he does for me." I winked at Richard and we all laughed a group.

"Yeah the paper's not really my thing." Molly shrugged.

"It's not my thing either but I have to." Richard rolled his eyes placing an arm around Molly.

"You love it really and if you ever change your mind, you know where I am." I smiled looking over at Molly.

It was later that evening when it was just me, Matt and Violet walking home. "I know when you're lying to me." Matt said holding his arm around me still.

"What?"

"Before you said you were alright, you don't look alright." He held me close to him.

"I...got a bad grade on this test. It just made me feel really crappy today and I'm really stressed out about the paper." I told him, there was no point in telling him the truth he'd only get annoyed anyway.

"Oh and Richard knows we're dating?" Matt added.

"He guessed, I confirmed." I smiled. "Look I think it's time to tell Lily. People probably saw us tonight and I don't want her hearing it in gossip. That's the worst way to find out things like this." I warned Matt.

"What so we walk into dorm together and explain?" He asked.

"I guess so." I smiled.

"Jen thank god--" Lily smiled capturing me as I entered the room with Matt behind me. "Matt..." She said turning away slightly.

"Hey." He smiled at her.

"Hey V go get ready for bed." I smirked bending down gently as I pointed at my room.

"But Jenna I wanted to--"

"You can watch TV on my iPad v." I moaned at her as she scuttled off to my room to cuddle up under the bed and watch some Netflix before bed.

I turned back to this awkward situation. "See you in English." I mumbled at Matt in the least romantic way ever. I didn't know what I was doing, avoiding the situation any longer is just going to make it worse and I know it.
