"Hey." Matt said walking into Lily and Jenna's dorm looking at Lily who was tidying up the place.

"Hey you looking for Jenna?" Lily responded quickly.

"No, you actually." Matt smiled gently as Lily stopped wiping down the coffee table and turned to look at him. "I just wanted to talk to you..."

"Right, what about?" Lily asked slowly.

"Well you see, don't take this wrong way but when we broke up I kind of thought there was no way we'd get back together, that we'd both move on." Matt began.

"Right and I have." Lily smiled.

"Well... Not exactly, I did notice some flirting." He said scared of what her response might be.

"Why? Did your girlfriend send you here?" Lily scoffed.

"Sorry, girlfriend?" He repeated quickly.

"I know you and Jenna are dating." Lily said angrily.

"How?"

"Because I'm not stupid. When everyone was in the toilets at the zoo I saw you two making out and then suddenly pull away when I appeared. To be honest I would have lashed out there and then but Violet was here." She shrugged.

"You're mad." He stated.

"You lied to me. Jenna lied to me, I need a new best friend. Know anyone who's qualified?" She said desperately.

"You're not going to yell at her are you, she warned me that the idea of us two being a couple was a bad idea that we shouldn't even try." Matt sighed.

"Hey guys what's up-- oh every one looks serious what have I done now? Did the eagle come round or something? I am so sorry Lily, work was packed and the traffic was horrific and...none of you are listening to me ok what's happened--?" I asked looking between Matt and Lily as they sat on our sofa.

"You're fucking my ex boyfriend." Lily said through gritted teeth.

"What?" I screeched looking at her as if it was a joke. "What?" I repeated in a deeper tone turning to look at Matt.

"Guess who knows we're a couple?" Matt said with a sarcastic smile on his face.

"Oh ok, how's it going? Do I need to run?" I joked in front of Lily.

"Oh you need get out." Lily shouted towards Matt.

"Woah alright calm down." I said smiling.

"No it's not alright. I get that you were on the rebound, that seeing knew people was bound to happen but my ex boyfriend? Why Jen?" Lily shouted at me at the top of her lungs.

"Lil I'm sorry it's just--"

"How did it happen hey? The two of you, just decide to make out in English one day?" She rolled her eyes. "Come on tell us how it happened."

"You don't really want to know do you?" I said sympathetically.

"Of course I do. Was it romantic like a scene from a romance film?" Lily joked but I saw the tears forming in her eyes and even though she was smiling and laughing she looked extremely sad.

"We like each other okay? I'm sorry we didn't tell you sooner it's just-- I knew this would happen. You were never going to be okay with this." I frowned at her.

"No you kept it from me." She yelled back at me.

"Shh there's people sleeping." I moaned.

"I don't give a fuck. I get the whole rebound thing, I really do but my ex boyfriend? There isn't a limit is there? Have you always been our to get him the minute we break up?"

"Lily shut up." I complained.

"All those times I suspected something going on between you two! I don't believe you. You little bitch, how can I call you my best friend?" Lily yelled still.

"Hey hey there's no need to be like that." Matt stood up standing between is in fear that Lily might just pounce on me and hit me or something.

"Do you know what, you just need time. I know all you want is for me to be happy and I'm happy with Matt, you just have to take the time to actually notice these things."

"Wrong end of the stick Jenna. You better start applying for a roommate for next year?" She said snobbishly.

"I thought we agreed on this whole break up thing. I'm sorry okay? What else can I do to prove to you I'm not this stupid boyfriend stealing slag?" I shouted at her.

"Whatever Jenna."

"Tell me please, I don't want to loose my best friend." I said quietly. There was a silence where Matt stood slightly to my side looking at us both in case we broke out into coke bitch fight and he had to break it up.

"Time."

"Huh?" I asked.

"Time. I need time to think about this. But just know I really hate you right now." Lily murmured heading towards the door and then slamming it shut tightly behind her.

"Where is she going? The eagle will be here any minute!" I moaned looking over at Matt.

"I'm sorry Jen. I didn't mean to tell her, she guessed she saw us. I know she's your best friend and I ruined that for you. You weren't here when she found out and now she's so angry she wants to punch something."

"Its alright. She was going to act this way no matter what wasn't she? She loved you and that won't change over time. I think we need to uh... Reconsider some things." I said cuddling into Matt chest tightly.

"Reconsider us?" He asked whispering into my hair.
