"You next." I laughed kicking my shoes off as I crossed my legs, leaning up against the wall as we sat on the floor in my dressing room.

"I'm not telling you that." George laughed to himself and went all shy.

"I told you about my first time, tell me yours--" I giggled until I saw the door open and I knew whoever was on the other side of that door was about to come in a ruin whatever we were doing, having fun.

"Jen, there you are." Richard smiled unnervingly, I could tell he wasn't happy. He was faking the smile and the happy tone.

"Ah you're Richard, right?" George smiled looking up at him as we were still sat on the floor looking like idiots.

"Yeah we've met." He smirked standing over us.

"What are you doing here?" I asked out of the blue not really wanting any arguments but I was really confused how he had found me.

"Could ask you the same thing. I got back from Spain today, I went to your house Jen." Richard nodded before sitting down at my desk chair on the other side of the room.

"Oh god that was today!" I blurted out. Great dad had dropped me in it there. No one was meant to know about the modelling and now two of the most important people in my life know.

I watched George get uncomfortable, he was 21 years old and got uncomfortable because of a lurking 19 year old. Richard wasn't scary, I didn't think so anyway.

"I think I'm going to get going." He mumbled raising his eyebrows at me. Our conversation had been rudely interrupted, even if it was a silly conversation.

"Alright, bye George see ya later." I stood up with him and then hugged him before he sulked out of my dressing room.

I knew it was coming. The initial hit from Richard was going to come. Ranting about George and how he's an ex and we have a history.

"So you think eating pizza and getting drunk at work is the best way to hang out with a friend?" He yelled at me as I sat at the table and just let him shout and scream. To be fair he had a point.

"Stop saying friend like that. He is my friend we've hung out a lot recently and frankly I enjoy hanging out with him." I shrugged.

"You're going back to the Jenna that was depressed after we had Maisie. Joining modelling again, hanging out with 21 year old guys, next you'll be dating Matt again!" Richard snapped.

"I can't do this right now." I picked up my keys and my coat, and as I walked out I wrapped my scarf around my neck and put my coat on shaking my head.

"What do you think you're doing?" Richard sighed as now we were heading towards my car and he was following me.

"I don't know, why don't you tell me." I snapped back.

"You've had a drink you can't drive. Let me..." He said holding out his hands for the keys. He had a point. I wasn't really going to drive home after drinking so I handed over my keys and we got in the car together and just sat there.

After a moment of silence my phone started to ring and I ignored it. Richard made a few snide comments about George and I shrugged them off.

Then the phone rang again. "Just get it." Richard said.

"It's Lily." I said showing him the caller ID. "Hey." I answered the phone and then turned away from Richard and stared out the window. He started up the car and I assumed he was just going to drive us home.

"Any chance of a Facetime Jen?" Lily asked sadly.

"I'm in the car, it won't work." I sighed but with some concern.

"Oh okay."

"You can still talk to me now." I said slowly because I'd never heard her sound so sad.

"Oh good." She began and then I got some not so great news and I didn't enjoy hearing about it.

I'm not sure why Lily even told me she knew it would make me feel bad but she must of been hurting a lot and just needed a friend to talk to. I absorbed it all and just told her to ring me back tomorrow and I'll be more responsive.

"No one home by the way. They've taken violet on a weekend away and I said I'd stay at home." I said as I asked him for the keys to the house and he gave them over.

"Alright." He nodded.

"I meant that you can stay the night. If you want." I shrugged.

We went inside and I locked the house up for the night. Locked the back door the front door and turned on the security cameras. I know, dad loves tech and he just buys anything he want these days.

"Can we talk for a second?" Richard asked as I sat down in the living room.

"Sure." I raised my eyebrows as he sat in the armchair opposite the sofa I was sat on.

"Do you like this George guy?" He asked.

"As a friend, yes." I nodded. "Nothing else."

He rolled his eyes and sat back in the chair annoyed at my answer. What did he expect me to say? Yes, and then we break up. No, and then he thinks I'm lying.

"I just can't win can I?" I spat.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Richard raised his voice.

"It's supposed to mean that I'm trying to get my life back on track and accusing me of cheating on you lowers my confidence by ten times. Even though I'm doubting it right now, I love you. I really do." I moaned at him.

"That because you're reverting back to old ways! The older guy and the modelling and depression..." he shook his head and sighed.

"Do you know why I'm depressed Richard? It's got nothing to do with you or George or modelling or maisie or whatever happened then! It's Lily. She phoned me today and spent that car journey crying to me that she might never walk again after all that!" I screamed at him.

"What?"

"She's crying her eyes out saying she doesn't have any strength to even stand up, let alone walk."

"Oh why won't you accept this wasn't your fault!" He yelled.

"I can't--" I sniffed. "I don't know why--" I stared to cry and look like a whining idiot. "She's my best friend and I did that to her. I have to see her like that and suffers everyday because I ignored the noise!" I screamed, sobbing to him.

"What noise? Did you hear the car?" He asked and I felt guilt wash over me all over again.
