In Omnia Paratus (AU) - Book 2

Zoo

"Hey." Matt wandered into our dorm which was pretty crowded at the moment with all the girls, Lily and Violet stood around waiting to leave.

"Oh hey." I smiled quickly at him as I was sorting out violets adorable little backpack for the day. We were going to the zoo and we'd all been planning to go for ages and now Violet was here it felt like a great excuse.

"Look about what I said last night--" he began pulling me to the side.

"Totally forgotten." I folded my arms smiling at him. He gave me a weird look before I walked away holding violets backpack and helping her to put it on. It had her favourite toy in it and some other stuff like a water bottle and that in case she needed it.

Violet looked so adorable. I'd let her wear this really cute blue dress and then as it was still sunny but a little chilly we wore her leather jacket and she looked really cute.

It was a bit weird that we were going out as such a big group. We never usually did this. There was Lucy, Olivia, Christina, Lily, Matt, Marty, Tom, Toms friend, who I am yet to find out the name of, two guys that Lucy and Olivia brought along and Violet and me.

So in total like 12 of us. I mean we could have more but there was a big group of us all now stood in Lily's and my dorm.

"Violet you stay close to us at all time alright? We don't want you getting lost or anything." I smiled holding her on my hip as we walked towards the entrance to the zoo.

She nodded intently and then squirmed out of my arms already walking ahead of me to pick up a map, which she couldn't read, and handing it to me.

"I want to see the monkeys and the sea lions and the penguins and the--" she rambled on and on.

"Yeah let's buy the tickets first Hun." I smiled as I noticed we were now at the front of the queue.

I noticed everyone was behind Lily and I, and we were stood waiting for everyone to join us before we went through into the zoo. "Is everything okay with you?" Lily asked a bit concerned.

"Fine yeah, you?" I asked her brushing it off nicely.

"Yeah." She smiled back before she had Violet tugging on her skirt and asking her why we weren't going in the zoo.

It was almost lunch time and by now we'd done pretty much most of the Zoo. Until I saw another whole part on the map and realised we'd be doing loads more after lunch.

Violet was currently on one of the guys shoulders and having a whale of a time as we'd just seen a sea lion show and she had a great view on Toms shoulders.

I knew we had to get something to eat soon as my stomach was rumbling and Lily was hanging on to my arm and complaining for a good 10 minutes, before I made the executive decision to stop at the nearest fast food hut.

It was a good idea coming out with the group as it meant that Violet was being passed around everyone and she would always come to me saying "Look Jenna.." or "So and So just did this.."

It meant at lunch though I didn't have to look after her whilst she ate, she sat between Matt and Tom and munched away at her kids burger and chips and then as I was sat opposite pushed her empty box towards me proudly.

"Well done little one." I smiled taking it and throwing it away in the bin behind me. She sat proudly sipping her drink and swinging her legs as she was getting all this attention.
