"Luce, How are you? Are you alright?" I said looking from Olivia who was stood next to the bed, to Lucy who was laying down there."We're fine Jenna. Lucy might have broken her arm but nothing's bad, I promise." Olivia smiled.
"I'm so sorry guys." I mumbled scratching the back of my neck and fighting the urge to pace up and down the room. I shouldn't even be on my feet but I felt damn awful about everything.
"It's okay and we heard about Lily. She needs an operation?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah, I don't know. One minute they says she's going to be fine and then next they're telling me about how she could never walk again. She could need multiple surgeries if this one doesn't go good." I said shrugging.
"And how are you?" Olivia asked me holding my arm.
"I'm fine, very worried, but fine." I said slowly. "I'm so so sorry guys." I said suddenly turning to them both. "I was driving and I had a responsibility, I'm sorry you're here now." I rambled.
"Don't apologise Jen. This wasn't your fault, we all know that." Lucy shrugged. Then I felt a little better that they weren't blaming me for the accident.

"How's Lily?" I asked Victoria as she came and saw me again.
"Things are tough for her at the moment and--"
"Jenna? Lily's asking for you?" A nurse interrupted us.
"Go on. You'll be fine." Victoria smiled at me holding open the curtain. I stepped forward and made my way to her room without a wheelchair for once.
"Lil, Jenna's here I know you wanted to speak to her." Her mum said leaning down close to Lily's face as she's clearly pretty groggy still.
"Hey." I smiled at her taking her hand.
"I need to tell you something." She said slowly before coughing and clearing her throat. "I need you to know this is not your fault. If I know you, and I do, you're probably blaming yourself right now but I have something to tell you..." She said slowly.
"Lily please.."
"I didn't have my seatbelt on properly. I had the top bit tucked down my arm because it was scratching my neck. That why I have a neck injury and why I got flung forward so far that I managed to get something lodged in my back and damage my spine. This is entirely my fault Jen." She said honestly squeezing my hand.
"Lil, this isn't your fault it's that idiot that crashed into us." I whispered sitting down beside her. "But I spoke to Victoria and if the operation goes well you could be absolutely fine." I smiled.
"Yeah hopefully." She mumbled closing her eyes before going to sleep for a bit.

"Hi, Matt I don't want you to stress or freak out but we've been in an accident." I said standing in my little cubicle hoping to god someone would discharge me.
"What? What's wrong?" He asked.
"It's Lily, she's hurt. And Uh really bad actually she's going to need an operation." I told him.
"Oh my god, what hospital are you at ill be there as soon as I can." He panicked.
"Don't drive here please. I can send a car for you or pay for a taxi I don't care how much it is I just don't want you driving when you're stressed." I said slowly.
"No it's fine, my uh mum can drive me." He said suddenly. "I'll be there as soon as possible." He said before hanging up on me and I felt better now that I had told him.

"Where's Lily's dad?" I asked her mum gently as we stood at the side of the room.
"He's not coming." Her mum said slowly.
"What?" I shouted.
"He's against her being at boarding school and being away from her family. Unfortunately he's also against any roommates she's has. Most of them have either been kicked out for drugs or were kicked out and now do drugs." Her mum explained.
"But she's having an operation it's life threatening." I frowned.
"He thinks this is how she'll learn." Her mum rolled her eyes and went back over to Lily to hold her hand.
I, however, was furious so took Lily's phone from her bag secretly and went outside to make a quick call.
"Mr James? Yes, it's Jenna Coleman. Your daughters roommate from Ashford. I just thought I'd call and remind you that Lily is lying in a hospital bed with a whole lot of potentially life-threatening injuries. And I'm figuring a guy like you, might not have someone in his life with the guts to tell him what an incredibly selfish, idiot he's being, so I thought I'd jump on in." I started.
"Jenna is it?--"
"Swallow your pride, get in your car, and come down here and see your daughter. I don't care if you don't like her roommates and you don't like her school and you thought she had it coming but she is about to go into surgery and if she dies on the operating table she will only remember you as a selfish weasel who can't even come and see her while she's on her deathbed. Suck it up and Get down here, now."
I hung up before he could get a single word in and I was furious. I don't know whether that would work or not but he deserved to know.
