"You should come." I suggested as I wrote my name down on the notebook paper.

"Are your parents going to mind?" Shawn asked looking at the board and back at me.

"Of course not, they adore you and enjoy your company." I said copying his motions.

"Okay I'll come." He said I saw a smile form on his pink lips. I finished my notes and thought about how much fun tonight will be.

I put on my black and white striped sweater, ripped black skinny jeans and black converses. I applied light brown eyeshadow, mascara and a light shade of pink lipgloss. I straightened my curly hair and was waiting for Shawn to arrive. I scrolled through my Instagram and listened to my parents talk. "You look great baby." I heard my father say to my mother. "I love you." He said. "GOALS!" I yelled causing them to laugh. The doorbell rang signaling Shawn was here. I rushed to the door and welcomed him in. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, black skinny jeans, and black vans. "You look nice." He said hugging me. I smiled and hugged back, "thanks, you don't look to bad yourself." I said once we pulled away. he blushed and looked down at the ground. "You kids ready?" My Dad asked coming into the living room. "Hey Mr. Y/L/N." Shawn said shaking my dads hand. "Hey Shawn, I'm glad you decided to come." My dad said with a smile. "Me too." Shawn said stuffing his hand in his back pocket.

"Woah this is amazing." Shawn said in awe at the lights. I laughed at his amazement and took a picture for snapchat, I captioned it 'It's lit fam💜'. "Want to take a picture Shawn?" I asked. He nodded his head and moved his head closer to mine. I did a funny face as Shawn looked at me like I was crazy. I laughed at the picture and saved it before I captioned it '❤️' I set it as my lock screen and looked at Shawn. Me and him have been friends since 6th grade and I've had a crush on him since 9th grade, but I've pushed those feelings aside. I was freezing, my teeth were chattering and my legs were shaking as we walked around admiring the lights. My parents walked together in front of Shawn and I. I felt a strong, warm arm wrap around my shoulder and pull me closer. I relaxed into his chest and tried to warm up.

We stopped in front of the 12 days of Christmas lights. Shawn stepped in front of me and grabbed my hands. "Y/N I really like you, and I can't keep my feelings to myself anymore. I understand if you don't feel the same way, but I thought you should know." Shawn admitted as he looked panicked. "Shawn," I said softly and smiled, "I like you too." He smiled and placed his hands on my back and pulled me closer to him. "Then would you mind if I did this." His face inched closer to mine, I closed my eyes slowly and felt his lips on mine. "GOALS!" I pulled away from Shawn and saw my mom standing there while taking a photo. I blushed and buried my head in Shawn's chest to hide my red face, I heard Shawn laugh as he rubbed my back.
