Muffin

My eyes scanned over all the various options of sweet treats hidden behind the glass display.

"I don't know what to get." I said a small laugh escaping my mouth.

"The muffins are good, especially the blueberry ones." I snapped my head in the direction I heard the voice. A boy with dark brown hair that was styled into a quiff, a white t-shirt that was covered by a gray leather jacket hung over his muscular body, black skinny jeans, and black vans was what he was wearing. A white paper bag was in his hand as he looked at me with a small smirk.

"I'll take a one blueberry muffin." I said to the waitress.

"What's your name?" The woman behind the counter asked so that when my coffee is done she can call my name.

"Y/n," I told her. She nodded and walked off.

"I'm Shawn, I'm guessing your name is y/n." I looked back at the boy and smiled slightly.

"Yeah." I said nervously.

"I couldn't help but notice that you are wearing a john Mayer t-shirt." He said, his eyes lit up as he talked to me. I looked down at the t-shirt and laughed.

"Yeah, I'm a huge fan."

"No way, me too." He said with a big smile. He pointed a finger at himself when he said, "me too."

I opened my mouth to say something when I heard my name, I turned to the waitress and grabbed my coffee and muffin. I went to get a 10 dollar bill out of my pocket when I heard Shawn say, "I got it." He handed the lady his credit card before looking back at me.

"Thank you, I can pay you back," he chuckled.

"Don't worry about it." He said taking the card back from the lady's hand.

"Actually, you could pay me back by giving me your phone number." He said as he put his card back into his brown leather wallet.

"Okay, sure." I said nervously. He smiled and handed me his phone so I could put my number in it.  I put my name, and put in my number.

"It was nice meeting you," I said before walking over to the bakery's door.

"You too y/n." He said smiling a warm smile. I turned back around and walked out of the bakery, hoping that my phone would buzz any minute.
