Love at first sight

Today was the day that I have been waiting for, for months. I was finally going to see Shawn Mendes in concert. I was touching up  my makeup when my phone rung.

"Hello?" I said into the phone. I held the phone up to my ear using my shoulder while I applied the black gooey mascara.

"Hey girl, are you excited?" My best friend, Samantha asked in her cheerful voice.

"Duh, I'm going to see shawn mendes!" I said causing us to laugh a little.

"Well I just wanted to call and talk before you left, hope you have fun." She said.

"Okay, bye." I said smiling.

"Bye." She said before she hung up. I laid  my phone down on the bathroom counter and then applied some lipstick. I was satisfied with my look, so I went to look for something to wear. I decided on a army green crop top, white skinny jeans, and black converses. I pulled my straightened hair out of his pony tail and let it fall to the middle of my back. I looked at the time and grabbed my car keys. I was going to the concert by myself since none of my friends could get tickets. I was totally fine with going by myself, I could sing  at the top of my lungs and they wouldn't look at me like I was crazy.

Charlie Puth was performing his last song before Shawn would perform. I was also a huge Charlie Puth fan, (A/n i mean who isn't? 😂) so I knew all the songs and sang along. A couple minutes after Charlie walked off the stage the music to, 'mercy' echoed throughout the venue. My heart started beating out of my chest, my palms were sweaty, I knew I would probably cry when I saw him.

When he appeared I felt like I was on cloud nine. I couldn't believe that he was only a few feet away from me. I was very close to the stage, i was like two rows from the stage so I had a really good view. I could of sworn Shawn glanced at me when he sang, but I just figured he was looking at his fans, or that I was just hoping he was looking at me. During the song, "I don't even know your name," I know for a fact we looked into each other's eye. His lips curved into a smile as he sang when he looked at me. This is when I knew that he was definitely looking at me.

"For my next song I'm going to have one of you guys help me out," the crowd erupted in screams, "now which one of you will be the one." Shawn said scanning all of his fans.

His eyes landed on me, he smiled and then spoke into the microphone, "would you like to help me?" He asked looking straight at me. I felt like I was about to pass out, I couldn't believe he was asking me to sing with him. I couldn't speak because I was in total shock so I just nodded my head. His security walked over to me and helped me onto the stage. He pulled me into a warm hug, the smell of his cologne lingered on his black t-shirt.

"So, what's song would you like to sing?" He asked me.

"Roses." I said without hesitation, it was my absolute favorite.

"Roses it is." He said as he started to strum his guitar to the melody of the song.

Shawn and I began doing a duet to the song, and I never wanted it to end. It was amazing. When the song finished the crowd went crazy. Shawn pulled me into another hug, but this one lasted for a couple of seconds.

"Will you meet me backstage after the concert?" He said as he hugged me.

"Of course I will." I said causing us to laugh softly. I was freaking out inside, Shawn mendes wants me to meet him backstage! This is incredible.

His security guards led me back to my spot in the crowd. Little did I know that concert would change my whole life.

2 years later-

"What are you thinking about baby?" He asked as he rubbed circles on my thigh.

"How we met." I said looking up at him. The corner of his lips curved as he smiled looking down at my hands.

"I knew that it was love at first sight. You were breathtaking, and I had to get to know you." Shawn said with so much love, "now here we are sitting in our living room in our own house." He said causing me to have butterflies in my stomach. He kissed me gently, but had so much passion.

"I love you so much." He said resting his forehead against mine.

"I love you too." I said smiling.
