My feet moved to the fast beat of the music. The song ended, and I was out of breath. It was almost time for the studio to close so I packed up my bag. I heard music coming from the other side of the room. "No, left foot right, right foot left." I heard someone instruct. It sounded like the manager, Tori. I walked past the room and looked through the small glass. I saw a boy about my age looking clueless at Tori as she showed him a simple dance. The boy walked further out to the middle of the room giving me the chance to see what he actually looked like. He had dark brown hair that was covering his forehead, pale skin, a black t-shirt on, gym shorts, and the look of confusion all over his face. "Shawn," I heard Tori say as she walked over to him. He stopped dancing and looked up at her. That's when I realized who he was. Shawn Mendes. Tori does choreography for concerts, and helps the singers out. My phone buzzed in my pocket.
Tori- come to room 261
I smiled and opened the door. Relief washed over her face. "I need to take a break, will you help Shawn with his slow dance?" Her eyes begged for me to do it. "Yeah, um-." She cut me off. "Okay I'll be back in about 20 minutes." She grabbed her purse and pushed past me and Shawn. I sat my dance bag down on the floor and put my hair back up in a pony tail. "So what do you need to learn the slow dance for?" I asked curiously. "A wedding." Shawn said after he drank some of his water. We walked to the middle of the room. "Okay so just relax." I said noticing he was tense. I guided his hands down to my waist and put my hands on his shoulders. "Alright now just move your feet side to side." I said softly. Shawn kept looking down at his feet to make sure he was doing it right. I laughed quietly. "Make sure you look your date in the eyes when you dance. You're doing perfect, don't worry." I assured. His eyes met mine and softened. My smile faded as I got lost in his caramel colored eyes. I snapped back into reality and realized I needed to play music. "Okay so now let's try it with some music." I said stepping out of his touch and playing the soft music. The beginning of the song "one call away" played. "So this is the song your wedding?" I asked walking over to him. He laughed a little, "Actually it's the song they are playing." Shawn placed his hands on my hips, "It's my cousins wedding, and I didn't want to look like an idiot so I decided to take some dance lessons." Shawn explained as we swayed to the music. "Smart decision." I said smiling. His lips curved into a smile.
"Well you're aren't terrible." I complemented once we got done dancing. "Thanks?" Shawn said in a questioning tone. I laughed a little. "Well it would come in a handy if I had to a date to the dance." Shawn said smiling. "You don't have a date?" I asked confused. "No, but I need to kind of find one." Shawn said rubbing the back of his neck. Tori walked back in. "Everything good?" She asked me. I looked at Shawn and smiled, "Yeah." Tori looked at both of us and said, "well then you can be Shawn's dance instructor until Friday." Before I could say anything else Tori walked out of the room. "Oh and by the way we're closing." She said stopping and turning to look at me. I put my bag over my shoulder and sighed. "Looks like we're partners for the next week." I said as we walked out of the room. "Yep." He said popping the 'P'. "Do you want to go and get something to eat, or something." I smiled. "Sure."

"So you've never been in a tree house?" I asked shocked. "Nope." Shawn said after he took a sip of his banana milk shake. "I can't believe this." I said shaking my head. I stood up from the table causing Shawn to look at me confused. "What are you doing?" He asked. "We are going to a tree house." I said sticking my hand out for Shawn to take. He looked at me like I was crazy, but took my hand in his.

4 days later
"Just relax." I said rubbing circles on his back. "Don't look down at yourfeet." I said placing my index finger under his chin to make him look at me. He smiled and looked in my eyes. "What?" I asked laughing a little. "Nothing." He said shaking his head with a smile. "Come on, what is it?" I asked trying to meet his eyes. "It's just that," he paused and blushed, "Since I don't have a date to the dance, and you're a pretty good dance partner I was wondering if you would be my dance partner at the wedding?" Shawn asked nervously. "I would love to go to the wedding with you." I said with a smile.
2 years later//
"I'm so glad I decided to take those dance lessons." Shawn's right hand was placed on my back and his left hand held my hand in his. "Me too." I said as before he closed the small space between us by placing his lips on mine. "Give it up from Mr. and Mrs. Mendes!" Shawn and I stepped back and smiled as our families cheered for us.
