I sat on the leather couch listening to Shawn's conversations with his friends. I didn't really pay any attention to what they were talking about, I was too busy thinking about the fight Shawn and I had last night. Shawn took my hand in his and rubbed circles on my skin. He knew what he said hurt, and now he was trying to make up for it. "Are you ready to leave?" Shawn whispered quietly. I nodded my head, and stood up from the couch. "Well I think we are going to head on home." Shawn announced. "Alright man," Brian said standing up and doing that bro hug guys do with Shawn, "I'll see you tomorrow." Brian said opening the door for us. "Bye guys." Shawn and I both said as we walked out of his house.
I got into Shawn's jeep and put my seatbelt on. Shawn got in the driver's seat and started the car. The car was filled with this weird silence that couldn't be broken. I was relieved when we finally got home. I got out of the car and unlocked the door. Shawn came in a couple minutes later. "I'm going to go take a shower." I said walking up the stairs. "Wait." I turned around and saw Shawn walking up the stairs. "Can we please talk about last night?" Shawn begged. "Shawn don't you think you said enough last night?" I said bitterly. Hurt flashed across his face, "Y/N I didn't mean it. I had been drinking, and you know I say things that I don't mean when I have had alcohol." "I'm tired of your excuses Shawn. You pointed out on of my biggest insecurities, and laughed. Do you know how bad that hurt? No, you don't because you will never have to." I tried to walk away, but he pulled me back towards him. "What did I say?" Shawn asked clearly confused. "What do you remember from last night?" I asked him. "I remember having a couple of shots, and some fruity drink. Then you got a text from some Conner, and I remember getting really jealous. Then I said something about your weig-." He stopped and met my eyes. His eyes were filled with guilt. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I don't think you're over weight, I think you are perfect, and beautiful. I-," His eyes filled with tears, and his lip trembled. I got out of Shawn's grip. "Shawn, I can't keep going through this. We fight once a week, go a day without talking, and then make up. Its not a healthy relationship." Tears fell from his eyes as he rubbed his hands up and down my arms. "Please don't do this, I will try to be a better boyfriend. I will quit drinking if that is what it takes for you to stay." Shawn begged. Tears streamed down my face when I realized what I was doing to him. "Please don't leave." Shawn said barely audible. My heart broke, I cant leave him. I love him way too much to do that. "I'm not leaving." I said wrapping my arms around his torso. He wrapped his arms around my waist and laid his head in the crook of my neck. "I don't want to lose you." Shawn mumbled against my neck. "You aren't going to lose me." I assured.
