Storms

The bright light filled the bedroom, I shut my eyes tightly as thunder roared through the empty house. It's at times like these when I wish Shawn was home. I wrapped the white blanket around my body tightly and hid my face. Raindrops ran down the window almost as if they were racing. I heard a car door slam, and the sound of footsteps. My heart rate picked up. I debated on getting out of the safe bed, or staying and pretend to sleep. But in any scary movie if you hear a weird noise you investigate it, so that's what I'm going to do.

I tiptoed down the long staircase and peeked my head around the corner. I didn't see anything so I stepped out from behind the wall. The porch light was on signaling that someone was on the porch. I walked to the door and looked out the peep hole. I didn't see anybody, or a car. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding and walked back to the stairs. When I got back to my room I noticed the bathroom light was on. I swallowed hard and walked slowly to the door. I slowly turned the doorknob and felt a strong grip on my waist. I let out a loud scream and heard a familiar laugh. I stopped screaming and looked down at the strong muscular arms holding me.

"Shawn!" I said excitedly. My fear turned into happiness. Shawn sat me down and hugged me tightly. "You almost gave me a heart attack." I said as he held me close to his chest. His deep laugh filled my ears, "Sorry, I had to get you back for pranking me last time I came home." He said. "How long have you been here?" I asked pulling away from his chest and looking up at him. "I just got here, and I was going to knock or call you, but I got this genius idea." He explained. I smiled and kissed him passionately, "I'm glad you're home, but this isn't over." I said.

He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. "Goodnight, I love you." Shawn said as his head rested in the crook of my neck.

"I love you too." I said pulling the cover up to my shoulders. A loud boom of thunder cause me to flinch. "It's okay baby, I'm right here." Shawn said tightening his grip on me. I smiled lightly and fell asleep to the sound of raindrops and Shawn and I's heartbeat.

Okay guys, so I'm working on a new Shawn Mendes fanfiction called Just Friends. I have had the hardest time coming up with a new idea for a book and I finally have one. I will be posting the first chapter soon, it would mean a lot to me if you would check it out. 😊❤️️
