"Well thanks for the ice cream." I said standing on the porch of the beach house with Dylan.
"No problem, and thanks for saving me from that seagull." He said. We both laughed at the memory. Dylan stepped closer to me only leaving a small space between us. His eyes flickered from my lips back to my eyes, I closed my eyes to as Dylan's lips inched closer to mine. I jumped back when the door opened.
"Uh, well you have my number, just text me." Dylan said before waking off of the porch. I closed my eyes tightly and rubbed my forehead.
"Sorry, wasn't expecting to see you about to kiss some guy you just met." Shawn said pushing past me.
"What the hell is your problem?" I asked watching him walk off the porch.
"Nothing, I won't be home until tonight so maybe you should call that guy over. I'm sure you to would have a lot of fun." Shawn said before slamming the door to his jeep and driving off. I stood there confused as to why Shawn was acting this way because I was with a guy. I walked back into the house and got chills. It was quiet, and I don't like quite. I hate being alone, I usually always have someone with me wether it's my sister or even my dog. I sat down on the brown leather couch and turned on the tv just so I could have sound. There was a blanket on the couch so I pulled it over my body. The movie, "Tangled" was on so I decided to watch that. I was doing okay, until i heard a noise upstairs. After that I was constantly looking up at the stairs.
The door opened and I jumped up from the couch. My arms held onto his muscular body. "What the-," when he heard my soft cries he wrapped his arms around me.
"What's wrong?" His voice was filled with concern. I then realized that I was being a baby and I needed to grow up. My cheeks turned red from embarrassment and I pulled away from Shawn.
"I'm sorry, I just-." I covered my face with my hands, "I just don't like being by myself." He wrapped his fingers around my wrist and pulled my hands anyway from my face.
"I sound like a total wuss, but I've always been that way." He smiled a small smile.
"It's okay, everybody is afraid of something." He shrugged and walked into the kitchen. He grabbed a bag of chips and sat down on the couch beside me.
"Tangled?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"Hey, it's a good movie." I defended. He laughed and opened the bag of chips.
"I wish a guy would look at me the way he looks at her." I said smiling looking at the tv.
Shawn's pov:
"I wish a guy would look at me the way he looks at her." I looked over at her and watched as she smiled at the tv.
I studied the way she focused, and paid close attention. I noticed the small freckles that were scattered across her face, her lips, her jawline, everything that I've never realized before, and now I regret never noticing it. She was perfect.
