The sound of glass breaking from downstairs made me jump.

"Just leave!" I heard my mother yell.

"Fuck you." My father hissed before walking out the door. My chest tightened and my breathing became unsteady. I grabbed my phone to call Shawn.

"Hey." He said in a raspy voice. I couldn't speak, I didn't have the strength to say anything. The only thing that could be heard was my soft cries.

"Y/n, what's wrong?" He asked concerned.

"M-my parents." I stuttered.

"Do I need to come get you?" Shawn asked.

"Yes, please." I said leaning my head back on the wall.

"I'm on my way." He said.

I hung up after we said our goodbyes. I took a deep breath before opening my window. Luckily my bed room was downstairs, so all I had to do was climb out the window and I was in the yard. I walked to the end of our driveway and stood in front of a large tree so my mother wouldn't see me from the living room. After a few minutes of waiting Shawn pulled up. He slammed his car door  before running over to me. He wrapped his arms around my body as I cried into his chest.

"It's going to be okay." He said soothingly as he ran his fingers through my hair.

I stared up at the ceiling while Shawn traced random shapes on my skin. I turned on my side so I could look at Shawn. His brown eyes met mine. "Thank you." I said in a raspy voice.

"For?" Shawn asked confused.

"For driving to my house at 1 in the morning, for comforting me, just for everything you do." I said looking in his eyes.

"That's what I'm here for." Shawn said pushing a piece of hair behind my ear. I moved closer to Shawn and placed my hand on his chest. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed my forehead.

"I love you." I looked up to see Shawn looking at me.

"You do?" I asked confused.

"Yeah, I do. I know you probably don't feel the same way, but Y/n I'm so in love with you." Shawn admitted. I placed my hand on his cheek before crashing my lips on his.

"I love you too." I said once we pulled away for air.
