Part 2 to library

i paced back and forth with my phone in my hand. I looked down at the white slip of paper.

Shawn
To shawn- Hey, it's the girl from the library, Y/N.

Within seconds I got a text back.

From Shawn- This is Shawn's girlfriend, Camila. I don't appreciate you texting him.

I read the text and felt a wave of disappointment fall over me. I felt like he actually might of liked me. God I was so stupid. I turned my phone off and decided to take a shower and try to forget about him.

Shawn's pov:
I was working on some music when I heard my phone buzz. I remembered I left it on the bar in the kitchen. Camila was over helping me some with the music, well she wasn't really helping to be honest. "Camila can you bring me my phone?" I asked since she was already in the kitchen. "Yeah." She said. I thanked her and noticed that I didn't have a text or anything. I put my phone down beside me and focused on my work. My mind started to drift away from my work and made me picture Y/N. She was so pretty, and reads. She is perfect.

"Lauren and the rest of the girls are going to the cafe, and they wanted to know if you want to come." Camila said.

"Yeah I'll come." I said standing up from the leather couch.

The smell of cinnamon, and chocolate lingered in the air of the cafe. My eyes landed on Ally. She was talking to Lauren when she saw me. Her lips curved into a smile when she noticed me. 

"I haven't seen you in forever!" Ally said hugging me tightly. I hugged her back and smiled. "I know, I've missed you guys." I said. The bell rang signaling someone walked into the cafe. I turned my head and saw her. My jaw dropped, and my heart was beating out of my chest. "Do you know her?" Ally asked pointing to Y/N. I nodded my head not taking my eyes off of her. "Well go talk to her." Ally said pushing me a little. "What? No I can't do that." I said shaking my head. "Um, why?" Lauren asked confused. "I just met her the other day, and I gave her my number but she never texted me. She obviously doesn't like me." I said disappointed.

"I'll be right back." Camila said walking away.

"She did something." Normani said putting her hand on her hips and looking at Camila with a raised eyebrow. "Look at your messages." Normani said. I pulled my phone out of my pocket confused, and looked at my messages. The first one at the very top was an unfamiliar number. I clicked on it my heart dropped. Anger took over my body. "I told you." Normani said pressing her lips together. I got up from my seat and walked over to Y/N.

"Y/N?" I asked getting her attention. She turned around and her smile dropped. I hated being the reason that happened, I should be the reason that she is smiling.

"Where's your girlfriend?" She asked bitterly.

"She's not my girlfriend, she's just really protective of me. I only see her as a friend, but she might see me as more. I don't care about that, I care about you. I've only seen you once, but the effect you have had on me is crazy. I have waited for a text since I gave you my number, and when I found out she texted you that I felt so bad. I'm sorry." I explained out of breath.

She looked at me with her beautiful eyes, "I'm sorry I was so rude."

"I would of been the same way." I said smiling.

Two weeks later
Your pov
"Shawn you didn't have to do all of this." I said in awe as I looked around at the beautiful lights, and listened to the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore.

"Yes I did, now just enjoy it." He said pulling a seat out for me. I smiled and sat down.

Shawn and I talked about our past, and what we want in the future. We laughed, and laughed. I was really having fun, and I'm pretty sure Shawn was too.

3rd person

Shawn pulled into Y/N's driveway. His nerves were getting the best of him. He wasn't even nervous on the date, but now that the night is over he wanted to finally kiss her. Y/n really wanted him to, but she was still confused by how Shawn was acting. Shawn walked her to her door and turned to look at her. He got lost in her eyes as she talked about how much fun she had. He stumbled on some of his words. His face turned a deep shade of red. Y/n giggled at his embarrassment. Shawn fell in love with her adorable laugh.
Shawn took this as an opportunity so he leaned in. He cupped her cheeks in his hand. Y/N eyes fluttered close and within seconds the small space between them was closed.

"goodnight." Shawn said softly once they pulled away.

"goodnight." Y/N said watching Shawn walk off the porch.

Y/N walked into the house with a warm feeling in her stomach. She smiled to herself and leaned against the door.

Shawn got into his car and thought about how lucky he was to be the one that she noticed that day in the library.
