small family

"babe," shawn walked over to me, "are you sure you can handle it?"

i smiled a warm smile, "shawn me and the baby are fine, i don't want to miss your concert."

"okay." he said looking at me unsure. i pecked his cheek as he rubbed circles on the baby bump.

i was standing backstage watching Shawn perform when i got this sharp pain in my stomach. usually i could handle the pains, but this one was unbearable. i immediately knew my water broke when i looked down.

"Lindsay!" I yelled for Shawn's assistant. she gasped when she saw me.

"somebody get him off stage, y/n is in labour!" Lindsay shouted as she helped me out to the car. i groaned in pain as i held my stomach. a couple minutes later i saw Shawn running to the car with a worried look on his face.

he got in the backseat beside me and held my hand as I tried to work through the pains. Within 5 minutes we were at the hospital. i was taken back to a room where I had to wait until I was dilated. (A/n I'm kinda guessing at all of this 😬)

"One more push," the doctor instructed. my body was tired, i didn't know if I could do it.

"Come on baby, you can do this." Shawn said as he held my hand tightly. i looked at him as my chest moved up and down because I was out of breath.
I nodded my head and pushed. Seconds later the sound of our baby crying made me feel relieved. I laid my head back on the pillow while I waited for my baby. a nurse had a blue blanket wrapped around his small body. a small formed on my lips as I reached out for him. his big brown eyes looked up at me as I held him in my arms.

i watched as Shawn held our baby boy in his arms. He had a few tears falling down his cheeks as he smiled down at the baby. his small fingers wrapped around Shawn's index finger as he held him.

"what about Lucas?" I asked randomly.

"Lucas Raul mendes." Shawn said looking at me with glossy eyes.

"I love it." I said smiling.

"I love you so much." Shawn said before kissing me softly. "And I love you." Shawn said before placing his lips on the baby's forehead.

I smiled looking at our small family.
