"Okay, Katie. Let me see if you know what the letters of the alphabet are. Can you recite to me the letters of the alphabet?"
She recited the letters to me.
"Very good. Sige nga. Let's write the alphabet naman, okay?"
"Katie can write the alphabet already," singit ni Jeremy.
"Sige nga, Katie. Let me see if you can write the letter M. Can you write the letter M on the paper?"
Isinulat naman niya iyon sa writing pad sa harap niya. And in fairness to the little girl, ang galing na ng fine motor niya compared to other children of her age dahil maayos na maayos niyang naisulat 'yung letter M. Straight pa 'yung lines.
Nag-thumbs up ako sa kanya. Sunod kong ipinasulat sa kanya 'yung letters S, T, R, saka vowels. Naisulat pa rin niya ang mga 'yun.
"Alam na nga kasi ni Katie 'yung mga pinapasulat mo. Di ka naman pala magaling na teacher eh. Alam na namin 'yung mga tinuturo mo eh," sabi ni Jeremy.
"Sige nga, Jeremy, recite to me the planets in the solar system," banat ko sa kanya.
"Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, balik sa Neptune, tapos Pluto ulit. Tapos pabalik-balik lang."
"Kasi ilang beses na daw ni-remove ang Pluto as a planet kasi dwarf planet lang daw yun tapos binalik at ni-remove ulit sabi ni Daddy."
Napangiti ako. "Galing ah! I'm impressed. But right now, Pluto is considered as a planet in our solar system, but they are still debating whether it is really a planet or not."
Ang bright naman ng mga batang ito. No wonder because they were children and grandchildren of big time lawyers. Sayang talaga dahil mas mai-improve at mas mare-recognize sana 'yung skills and intelligence nila kung nakakapasok lang sana sila sa school kasi complete ang teaching materials and facilities namin doon eh.
Pwede ko pa kayang pakiusapan si Kulot na i-enroll si Jeremy sa school? Kahit na si Katie na lang muna 'yung i-tutor ko rito sa bahay. Tapos ako na lang ang maghahatid at magsusundo kay Jeremy sa school. Well, there's certainly no harm in trying.
