"Katie!" sigaw ko agad pagkabukas ng pinto. She was crying on the top of her bed kaya napatakbo agad ako palapit sa kanya. I immediately embraced her. "What happened? Why are you crying, baby?"

"Si Mommy po. I saw my mommy in my dream, Zanny. She's playing with me with my dolls. But when I woke up, wala na po siya ulit," she said while sobbing.

I caressed her back. "Maybe she visited you in your sleep because she misses you already."

She wrapped her small arms around my waist tightly. "Zanny, ikaw di ba di mo po kami iiwan ni Kuya Jemie?" She looked up at me with a pleading look. "You will not leave me and Kuya Jemie, di ba po?"

I smiled at her and wiped the tears on her face. "Hindi kayo iiwan ni Zanny."

"Promise?"

I smiled reassuringly. "Promise."

"Sabi ni Daddy Lance you should raise your right hand when you're making a promise."

I raised my right hand. "I promise. Zanny will stay with you and Kuya Jemie as long as you still need me."

She buried her face on my chest and cried again. "I love you, Zanny."

I felt my eyes moistened with tears. It really touched my heart whenever she was telling me those words. "I love you, too, Katie."

"Katie!"

Napalingon ako sa may pinto nang makita kong pumasok si Lance doon.

"What happened, Zanny?" he asked worriedly while walking slowly towards us.

"Nanaginip lang na kasama niya yung mommy niya at wala na raw pagkagising niya."

Umupo na rin siya sa gilid nitong kama. "You made us worried, Katie. 'Kala namin kung napa'no ka na. Napatakbo tuloy ako rito sa kwarto mo."

Napatingin si Katie sa kanya. "Di ka naman po nakakatakbo kasi painful pa po yung leg mo, Daddy."

He grinned at her. "Actually, lumipad talaga ako paakyat rito sa room mo."

"Eeeeeh! Niloloko mo naman po ako, Daddy Lance eh! Wala ka naman pong wings eh."

Pinahid ni Lance ng daliri yung luha ni Katie. "See? At least I made you smile already. You're prettier when you're smiling kaya di ka dapat umiiyak."

Bumitiw si Katie sa akin at kay Lance naman yumakap. "Daddy Lance, you and Zanny will not leave me and Kuya Jemie, right?"

Napatingin si Lance sa akin. I gave him an encouraging smile.

He smiled at me before he started caressing Katie's back reassuringly. "I'm not gonna leave you and Kuya Jemie. That's a promise, Katie."

Inabot ni Katie yung kamay ko. "Gusto ko ikaw na lang yung mommy namin ni Kuya Jemie, Zanny. May Daddy Lance na kami kaya gusto ko may mommy rin po kami. Please, ikaw na lang po yung mommy namin ni Kuya Jemie."
