The boys were running around and climbing on the rocks. Daven was standing on top, while Raven struggled to find a way up. It didn't help his arms were too short to reach the handhold Daven used.
Darius stood with his father with his arms folded. "Are you sure about this?"
Xavier nodded. "I know what I'm doing." He looked his son straight in the eyes. "Trust me on this."
The red werewolf shrugged. "It's not me, but Titus who's going to be upset."
"I'll handle your brother." He glanced at his grandsons. "Finally back to your usual self."
Darius scoffed. "It didn't help that Raven decided being human was better since his hair was longer, and he could play with it." He sucked in his cheeks. "I had to bribe the kid again to get him to change back."
The alpha patted his son on the back. "I'm proud of you for keeping your word."
"Hmm..."
A tall werewolf appeared through the trees with a young werewolf at his side. Darius scanned the pure black pup. He looked just like Jet. The twins ran over to their father when they notice the newcomers. Raven climbed into his father's arms.
Xavier stepped forward and offered his hand. "Oscar."
The Bloodhound alpha nodded. "Thank you for doing this." His fur was speckled with gray hairs. "Mind your manners," he said to the boy. "Do as you're told. These men have a lot to teach you, so pay attention."
The child nodded.
Darius could tell he was upset but like Daven, had reached the stage where crying was no longer acceptable. He knelt down and placed his sons on either side of him. "This is Daven and Raven. What's your name?"
"Jagger," he whispered, chewing on his claw.
Darius smiled. "Jagger, you're going to be living with us. I hope you can be friends with my boys."
The pup nodded with a smile.
Daven stepped forward. "How old are you?"
"Almost five," he held up the correct number of fingers. "I get to go to school."
Daven gave an approving nod. "You're a dominant like me." He pointed to his chest.
Jagger smiled. "Yeah."
"Do you want to play? We can see who can climb the rock the fastest," he sighed. "I always win, my twin's can't reach."
Raven pouted at his brother.
"Come on," Daven grabbed the boy's hand and pulled him away.
Oscar let out a deep breath. "It looks like he'll be fine here."
"We'll take care of him," said Darius, standing.
Raven grabbed his father's hand.
"Be good, Jagger," said Oscar with sad eyes.
The black werewolf pup looked to his grandfather. He raced over and leaped into the man's arm. "Will you come back?"
"When I can." He hugged the boy tightly. "You'll be safe here. You can go to school. You can become a great leader." He set the boy down and ruffled his fur. "Make me proud."
Jagger nodded.
"Go on," he waved the boy off. "Go play." Oscar turned to his fellow alpha. "He's all I have. Please don't let anything happen to him."
Xavier nodded. "You have my word."
They shook hands again before Oscar slipped off into the forest.
