Raven picked up one of the Christmas shaped cookies off the tray. Biting into it, he hummed. Aunt Karen made the best treats.
"The boys are getting so big," said Karen. "I keep telling Quint we need to build on some extra space so we're not so crowded."
Storm nodded. "I'll get Darius to pay for it. It because we're always visiting that you need to build on." She moved her son's hair over his shoulders. "Don't eat them all."
"I won't." Raven took another.
"So how has college been?" asked Karen.
"Good. I passed all my classes. My photography professor says I have a pretty good eye and to keep practicing. I'm going to take some landscape photos of the mountains around the cave before we go back to school."
"Is the camera working for you?"
Raven nodded. "Yeah, thank you."
"No problem at all, sweetheart." She pushed the tray forward. "Take these into the living room and see if anyone else wants one."
"Okay."
Grabbing the plate, Raven went into the other room and wandered around. Saigon and Uncle Quint were the only ones who wanted a cookie. Raven wasn't surprised. No one else liked sweets.
His grandmother pulled the long-haired boy into the seat next to her. She took a cookie shaped like a tree. "How's school?"
"Good."
"That's great to hear." She put her arm around his shoulders.
Jesse and Daven wandered down from upstairs. The sub sat on the floor with his fiance and took the plate from Raven. Daven wasn't interested but Jesse ate a couple of them.
Karen and Storm appeared in the entryway.
"So what do we have?" Karen folded her arms. "Aden and Titus are going to be in Saigon's room. Xavier and Rose are in the guest and you and Darius are in the office. Quint."
"Yes," he said with a sigh.
"I need the air mattress blown up for Jesse and Daven. Saigon going to sleep on the one couch. Jagger and Raven can share the pullout bed, if that's okay?"
The sub nodded and glanced over at his packmate.
"That's fine with me," said Jagger.
"Well then, let's get this room set up." Karen waved her arms to get everyone on their feet. "It's getting late." She started up the stairs.
"Where's the air mattress at?" asked Uncle Titus.
"The garage," replied Quint.
The men headed out of the room to go find it. While the younger boys and the women went upstairs to the blanket closet. Raven and the others stood outside as Karen passed them pillow and sheets.
"It was so much easier to sleep you all when you were little." She looked at the boys. "You were tiny back then. I'd throw two of you on the couch. Saigon would curl up a cushion." She handed her grandson an oversize pillow and sighed. "You need to stop growing."
Saigon shrugged. "Probably should've stopped my dad from mating a werewolf."
Karen shook her head. "Oh no, it was well worth all the cute pup years. I'm just waiting until the day I get to be a great grandma."
Rolling his eyes, Saigon started for the stairs. "Let me get through high school first."
"I barely let Aden get through high school before talking pups, so you better be ready, young man." She pointed her finger at him.
