"I'll visit when I can," said Saigon, rubbing his arm.

Archer stood with his muzzle clenched and staring at the ground.

"We'll still get to see each other every once in awhile."

"You shouldn't have to go," muttered Archer.

Saigon let out a deep breath. "I told my uncle I would. And you know my parents. My dad is like my grandma Karen. He'd just worry about me, and eventually, I'd move to Bloodhound anyways."

"It's not fair." He turned his head sharply and looked at the tree line. "Will I still get to see you at school?"

Saigon's head fell forward. "No..."

Archer shifted his weight.

"Bloodhound is too far. They go to another school. My parents have been talking about sending me to a human school."

"Why?" snapped Archer, meeting his friend's gaze. "What's wrong with the werewolf schools? There's no difference."

Saigon didn't know how to reply. He knew the reason, but the young boy wasn't sure if he was allowed to tell others he might be the next beta. "They have advanced classes. My grandma thinks it'll help me get into a good college."

"You don't need college!" Archer clenched his fists. "Why can't you just stay here with me?" The brown werewolf's expression softened. "You're my best friend. We've been together since we were pups. Why do you have to leave?"

"I'm sorry. I'll visit when I can."

Archer let out a shaky breath before throwing his arms around Saigon's neck. "You better, because I'll never forgive you if you don't."

Raven wandered out of his room and flopped down in the living area. His mother was filling some paperwork.

"Are you starting to figure out what you're going to be taking?"

"Yeah," breathed Raven.

"You only have two weeks left before you're heading back to school. If you need me to order you anything, tell me now so it can get here in time."

"I have everything I need." He stared at the ceiling.

"What are your plans for the day? You should enjoy your time off before you head back to Midfield."

Raven's head fell to the side. "I don't have any.."

"Well, go find something to keep yourself busy." She waved her hand at him. "I have some chores you can do if you sit around here all day."

The sub groaned and sat up. "The cave's so empty now. No one wants to hang out with me."

"Why not go see what Jagger is doing? He should be awake by now."

Raven fell back and rolled onto his side. "He'll go hang out with Archer."

"You're allowed to hang out with more than one person at a time." Storm eyed her son.

"I'm a sub, mom. They want to go do dominant things, and I can't keep up."

Storm ran a hand through her head fur as she thought for a moment. "Jagger isn't like your brother. He'll make sure you're included. He did it all the time when you were growing up, depending on how big of a fit Daven threw."

Raven turned onto his stomach. "I wish Jesse and Daven could have just spent the summer here," he said with his face pressed into a fur.

"That's enough moping," Storm said firmly. "Daven's rank comes with a lot of responsibilities. He needs to be in Midfield so he can learn all he can from Trevor."
