Jagger knocked on the bedroom door. "Hey, how's packing coming along?"

"It's getting there." Raven let out a sigh at the mess spread across their bed. "Did you get done with finals?"

Walking up behind the sub, Jagger kissed his cheek. "Yes. I think they went pretty well."

"That's good." Raven turned around and draped his arms over the man's shoulders.

"Get a room!" Jesse marched past.

"We are in a room!" The long-haired boy glared at the hallway. "My room!"

"Then learn how to shut a door."

Raven scowled.

Jagger tightened his hold on the boy. "He's just upset because Jesse knows what's happening this summer." He kissed his fiance's cheek. "You and me as mates."

With a sigh, Raven relaxed into his arms.

"Are you nervous?"

"Mostly excited, but a little nervous, too." He kissed the dominant. "But I'm ready. I want to be mates with you."

"Forever?"

Raven smiled. "It's one of the perks to being a werewolf."

"That's good to hear"—Jagger kissed him again—"because I don't think I was going to last much longer."

The sub laughed. "So you're not going to pull a Daven on me?"

Jagger shook his head. "There's a reason we started working out together."

"My god!" snapped Jesse, marching to the door. "I'll fucking do it for you." He slammed it shut and stomped down the hall.

Raven sighed. "I think they got in a fight."

"Should you go and check on him?"

"Yeah. He's had a rough semester." The sub left the room and went to find where Jesse went.

Sitting on the bed, Jagger shook his head at all the bags. Every time he had to pack Raven's things, the sub added at least one more bag. Maybe he should ask Darius to buy a trailer they could pull. Asking Raven to dejunk just meant he had more rook to buy clothes.

Daven wrapped his knuckles on the door. "Hey."

Jagger nodded.

"Where does he keep all of this?" Daven stepped into the room.

"No idea."

Clearing his throat, Daven closed the door. "Jesse's pissed at me."

"Well, Raven and I are going to be official soon and you've been engaged how many years now?"

"Six, he made sure to point that out before hitting me with a shoe."

"A shoe?"

"It was my fault for standing too close to the closet when he was angry cleaning." Daven leaned against the dresser. "He's a little fireball."

"You could just do it. I've been engaged to Raven for not even five months and it's been hard."

"Why did you even wait?" Daven scratched his arm.

"Raven was nervous. He won't admit it but he was hurt by the breakup and wanted to be sure I wasn't going to change my mind. It took me a semester but I convinced him that I wasn't going anywhere. I don't think he understands what the mark does to us," Jagger laughed.

"Exactly, Jesse doesn't get it. I'm waiting because I want to protect him."

Jagger shook his head, trying not to smile. "You're fully capable of protecting him. When you accept that, your life is going to be a lot easier."
