Jesse was staring at the ceiling as Raven sat among mounds of books and notes. All of which was color coordinated by subject. They had finals next week. Jesse really was interested in studying. With a sigh, he glanced at the six metals hanging on the wall. Daven had two more from Districts. Unfortunately, he wouldn't be going to Nationals this year. Jagger was close with a third-place finish in the long jump, but they'd have to wait until next year.
"We have tests all week. You might want to get started."
Jesse rolled onto his side. "Even if I fail, I'll still get a B."
"Why not give a bit more effort and get an A, then?"
Flipping to his stomach, Jesse propped his head on his hand. "I'm not trying to get into a college like you."
"What are you going do while Daven goes to college? Just sit around and waste time."
"No. I'm going to embrace my role as a house-husband." Jesse grinned at him. "Just imagine it, Ravy. Me in an apron cooking dinner with nothing underneath?" He wiggled his eyebrows.
Raven scoffed. "Gross."
"Well, I can't be a plain old, boring house-husband. It's me. I got to make my man excited to come home."
"Stop, please." Raven dropped his pencil and shivered. "You're making my skin crawl."
"Oh, come on," Jesse chuckled. "You are stuck with me for life, you know. We're practically going to be brothers."
"Don't remind me." The sub ran both his hands through his hair before going back to studying.
Jesse heard his phone buzz and checked it. He squealed with delight and climbed off the bed.
"What?" Raven turned in his chair.
"Daven coming over! He's bringing his metals."
Raven slumped over in his chair. "Maybe you should start thinking about packing." He glanced at the man wall. "We only have a week left before we go home."
"My dad will help me." Jesse pressed his phone to his chest and pointed his nose in the air. "Be does own the school." He'd pack at some point. Just not for a few more days.
Opening the door, he peered down that hall toward the stairs. He was so excited to get to see the metals. His father had been so stubborn and hadn't let him go. Next year Jesse was going. He'd make sure of it.
Daven appeared, and Jesse couldn't control his excitement. He raced down the hall and practically flung himself at his boyfriend. He somehow got his arms around Daven's neck. The dominant slipped his arms under the boy's leg and hiked them up.
"I missed you!" Jesse kissed his fiance. "I checked the stats all week. You did so good."
Daven just laughed and kissed the boy on the lips. "I didn't make it to Nationals."
"Fifth is amazing! I'm so proud of you." Jesse tightened his hold. He leaned back and fixed his eyes with Daven's. "You brought the metals, right?"
The dominant just smiled and gave his boyfriend a peck on the lips. "Of course."
Jesse squealed with delight and cupped Daven's cheeks, kissing him hard. "I love you so much."
Daven set the sub down and took out the metals from his pocket. They were enclosed in plastic case. "Next year, I should be able to get third. First and second place graduate this year."
Jesse was just staring at the little piece of metals. They were amazing. It was so cool. "You just need to get third to go to Nationals?"
Daven nodded. "The field events only the top two go. Jagger was pretty upset when he just missed it."
