Jesse was bouncing around the room, and Raven was ready to pull his hair out. He would like to finish his homework before they left for the track meet, but his roommate was making it impossible.

"He's going to be so hot in his uniform." Jesse slid across the desk, crumpling some of Raven's papers.

"Hmm..." Raven gathered them up and put them out of the way.

"I can't believe my boyfriend showing his stuff out there on the track. He's going to kick some ass today. I just know it." He leaned on his arms and slowly lowered himself into Raven's vision.

"Do you need something?" said Raven.

"You being slightly difficult to talk to."

Raven closed his book. "I'm was trying to get my homework done. Good thing I have Sunday." He leaned back in his chair.

"It won't take that long. Daven said it was a short meet. They're only doing human form."

"Thank god," muttered Raven. "This is usually a two day things from what I hear."

Jesse laughed. "You're really annoyed right now."

Letting out a sigh, Raven stood. "Sorry, school has me stressed." He went to find his jacket and a hair tie. He wasn't in the mode to deal with his hair getting in the way. The sub found one in the pocket and tied his hair up on top of his head. "Ready?"

Jesse typed something on his phone before hopping off the desk. "Yep."

"Is Liam or Vinny coming?" Raven opened the door.

"No, they have stuff going on." Jesse looped arms with his roommate. "So it's just us."

The two walked outside with Jesse continued to let everyone in earshot know how excited he was to see Daven. Raven was trying to be supportive. He wanted his brother to do good, maybe even win his events, but he was just annoyed. Subs didn't get to do sports. They couldn't compete with the higher ranks. So Raven was being forced to take time out of his day, when he could be studying, to go boost dominants' egos. The sub felt stupid for being so negative about it, but it was just frustration.

They got into the back seat of the waiting car. Two Midfield dominants sat in the front. Jesse must have known them because he was still just as hyper.

"What's Jagger doing?"

"Hmm..." Raven turned away from the window.

"Jagger's events?"

Raven shrugged. "I don't know. You're the one that talks to them the most."

"Jagger doesn't talk to you at all?" Jesse leaned across the car.

"I think long jump and some other jumping thing."

"Triple jump.

"Probably that."

Jesse fell back against the seat. "You two are cute together?"

Raven's mouth fell open, and he slowly turned to his roommate. "What?"

"It's cute." Jesse shrugged with his arms folded. "The way you two huddle together when you help him with his homework."

"Huddle together? I think you're reading a little too much into this. By the time he comes to me for help, Jagger is usually so stressed he's about to pull his hair out."

"Maybe, but whenever we watch a movie you two are always cuddling in the corner."

Raven looked at him wide-eyed. "Excuse me, but it because it's either squeeze onto the couch with you and two dominants or sit by myself." Shaking his head, he peered out the window. "There's nothing going on between us."
