Chapter 12:

Corey's Point of View:

"I really appreciate you hanging around for a bit," I said as Syn walked with me to the music rooms; they were usually unoccupied on a Tuesday.

Even though he'd been introduced to me as Brian, he'd always be Synyster Gates to me, as that was how I knew him.

"It no big deal," he said in response as we made it to the right room; the teachers usually left it unlocked for me and luckily now was no different. "I've got nowhere to be today; always happy to hang around if I'm not busy."

I gave a nod, still rather excited and wondering if this was really happening or not. Syn left the door open as I turned the class lights on; this was my favourite room out of all of them. I put my things down as the bell went, signalling that it was lunch break.

"You don't mind if my sister joins us do you?" I asked hesitantly, watching as he went over to where the acoustic guitars currently were kept.

"Why would I be? You'd be surprised kid; I'm chill about a lot of things," Syn said in response, grabbing one of the guitars and then a seat. He indicated for me to do the same. "How long you been playing?"

I shrugged, doing as asked, grabbing a guitar and a seat.

"Not a long time; had to save up to get a guitar but I have trouble teaching myself," I said, Syn nodding in understanding as he played around with a few thing with the guitar, a frown on his face. "Been wanting to learn for a while; since I really got into music."

Syn gave another nod.

"I getcha," he sighed. "Who the fuck tunes these? Does anyone?"

I shrugged, not having an answer as he went about retuning the one he had and someone appeared at the door; it was just Stef. As soon as she saw us, her expression changed to shock and a bit of excitement.

"Hey Stef," I greeted as she came in, Syn not even looking up from what he was doing. "This' my sister Stef."

That made him look up; he gave her a smile.

"Sorry; I'm Brian," he introduced, holding his hand out in a friendly manner.

Stef shook his hand eagerly, the grin on her face the whole time; she was a very big fan of him.

"I know who you are, don't worry," she said, Syn giving her another smile, mindlessly playing something on the guitar, clearly happy with it now that he'd retuned it with ease. "Corey is a very big fan of you guys."

"I figured," Syn said, Stef unable to stop smiling.

She looked to me, making me smile back.

"Did you want me to leave you guys to do whatever you're doing...?" she asked, clearly not sure if she was interrupting or not.

"You can stay if you wanna," I said. "Not gonna force you to leave."

Stef gave a nod, looking to Syn who returned the look, still mindlessly playing.

"Your choice," he said with a shrug. "I have nowhere to be so I thought I could maybe show Corey a thing or two while I'm around. You're more than welcome to hang around if you want."

Stef gave an excited nod, grabbing a seat and putting her things down next to it as she sat down.

"I just want to say, you're even hotter in real life," she said, a bit of an amused smile appearing on Syn's face. "Just in case you didn't know."

"Well thank you; much appreciated," Syn said in response. "I can guarantee you're not the only one that thinks that; I somehow think you'd get along with my girlfriend rather well. You think alike."
